- Warm layers: Bring a fleece, sweater, or light insulated jacket for the early morning, evening, and high-altitude sections of the route.
- Waterproof rain jacket: Recommended, especially during the rainy season or whenever weather conditions are uncertain.

- Light backpack: A comfortable backpack of approximately 30–45 liters is recommended for carrying your personal belongings during the 3-day trek.
- Drinking water: Carry approximately 1.5 to 2 liters of water for Day 1. Additional water can usually be purchased in local communities along the route.
- High-SPF sunscreen: Essential because sun exposure can be intense inside the Colca Canyon.

- Energy snacks: Bring energy bars, fruit, nuts, chocolate, or similar snacks, especially for the early-morning climb on the final day before breakfast.
