Your Lima City Tour begins with pick-up from your hotel or Airbnb in Miraflores, San Isidro, or Barranco. You will travel in a comfortable tourist vehicle with air conditioning as we head toward Lima’s historic center.
09:35 AM – PLAZA SAN MARTÍN & HOTEL BOLÍVAR
Our first stop is Plaza San Martín, one of Lima’s most important public squares, inaugurated in 1921. Here, you will appreciate its European-influenced architecture and learn about the historical importance of the square.
We will also see the historic Hotel Bolívar, one of the best-known traditional buildings in central Lima.
09:55 AM – BASÍLICA DE LA MERCED
We continue to the Basílica de La Merced, an important colonial-era church known for its impressive baroque-style façade and religious significance in Lima’s historic center.
10:05 AM – JIRÓN DE LA UNIÓN
Next, we walk along Jirón de la Unión, one of the most traditional pedestrian streets in central Lima. This historic avenue connects several important landmarks and has played a key role in the city’s commercial and social life.
10:10 AM – PLAZA MAYOR DE LIMA
We then arrive at the Plaza Mayor de Lima, the historic heart of the capital. Founded in 1535, this square is surrounded by some of the city’s most important colonial and republican buildings.
Your guide will explain the historical development of Lima and the importance of the main institutions located around the square.
10:25 AM – CASA DE LA LITERATURA PERUANA
Our next stop is the Casa de la Literatura Peruana, located in the former Desamparados railway station.
Today, this historic building is one of Peru’s important cultural spaces, dedicated to literature, national authors, and the country’s literary heritage.
10:35 AM – SAN FRANCISCO CONVENT & CATACOMBS
We continue to the San Francisco Convent and Catacombs, one of the most fascinating historical attractions in Lima.
During the visit, you will explore the colonial religious complex and its underground passageways, which were used as burial areas during the colonial period.
Entrance to the San Francisco Convent and Catacombs is included in the tour.
12:30 PM – BARRANCO: LIMA’S BOHEMIAN DISTRICT
After exploring the historic center, we continue to Barranco, one of Lima’s most colorful and artistic neighborhoods.
Here, you will discover streets decorated with murals, republican-era mansions, art galleries, traditional architecture, cafés, and the relaxed atmosphere that has made Barranco one of the city’s most distinctive cultural districts.
Your guide will introduce you to the history, art, and local character of this important neighborhood.
01:00 PM – RETURN TO YOUR HOTEL / AIRBNB
After visiting Barranco, we begin the return transfer to your hotel or Airbnb in the designated service areas, concluding your Lima City Tour.
