The last day of our rek will start very early. The last part of the hike is back to Mirador Capuliyoc starts around 5 in the morning after breakfast. We start very early in order to avoid the intense sun that usually falls in the area after 4 hours uphill hike we will arrive to Mirador Capuliyoc to wait for lunch while you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the apurimac canyon then we will take a lunch and then take the car back to Cusco and arrive in Cusco around 4:30 in the afternoon. and we will drop you at your respective hotel.

How difficult is the Choquequirao trek? This is considered one of Peru’s most challenging treks, requiring excellent physical fitness and prior hiking experience. The trail involves steep ascents and descents, high altitude conditions, and demanding daily distances. What’s the best time to visit? The dry season from May to September offers the most favorable weather conditions, though the trek is possible year-round. Do I need previous trekking experience? While not mandatory, previous multi-day hiking experience is highly recommended due to the trek’s demanding nature. What about altitude sickness? We recommend arriving in Cusco 2-3 days before your trek to acclimatize. Our guides carry emergency oxygen and are trained in altitude sickness recognition and treatment. How much should I tip the crew? Tipping is customary and appreciated. We suggest $15-20 per day for guides and $10-15 per day for support staff, divided among your group.
