ARRIVAL IN CUSCO → AIRPORT PICK-UP → HOTEL TRANSFER & ACCLIMATIZATION
Your Cusco Machu Picchu Humantay Lake Rainbow Mountain Tour begins upon arrival in Cusco.
Our team will meet you at Cusco Airport and provide transportation directly to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day will be free for acclimatization and relaxation.
Cusco is located at approximately 3,400 meters / 11,150 feet above sea level, so this first day is intentionally planned at a relaxed pace to help your body adjust before the high-altitude excursions included in the following days.
Depending on your arrival time and how you feel, you may take a gentle walk through the Historic Center of Cusco, visit the Plaza de Armas, explore nearby streets, cafés, local markets, or simply rest at your hotel.
We recommend staying well hydrated, eating light meals, and avoiding strenuous physical activity during your first hours in Cusco.

MACHU PICCHU FULL-DAY TOUR FROM CUSCO
Today you will experience the most iconic attraction in Peru: Machu Picchu.
Your day begins early with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transportation toward the corresponding train station, usually Ollantaytambo, Poroy, or another confirmed departure point, depending on your final train schedule.
You will board a tourist train and travel through the Sacred Valley and the Urubamba River valley toward Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu Pueblo. The train journey offers beautiful views of mountains, agricultural landscapes, rivers, and cloud forest scenery.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will continue by shuttle bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Your professional guide will accompany you through the circuit assigned to your entrance ticket. During the visit, you will learn about the history, architecture, engineering, ceremonial areas, agricultural sectors, and cultural importance of this extraordinary Inca sanctuary.
The guided visit generally lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the confirmed circuit, entrance regulations, and visitor flow.
After completing the guided tour, you will take the shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes. Depending on your return train schedule, you may have some free time for lunch or a short walk around the town.
You will then board the return train toward the corresponding station, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.
Arrival at your hotel is expected in the evening.

HUMANTAY LAKE FULL-DAY HIKE FROM CUSCO
Your Humantay Lake Full-Day Tour begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco.
You will travel through the Andean countryside toward the Mollepata and Soraypampa area, passing valleys, farming communities, and spectacular mountain scenery along the way.
A breakfast stop will be included before continuing toward the trekking area.
Upon arrival at the trailhead, your guide will provide a short briefing before beginning the hike toward Humantay Lake.
The trail climbs through high-altitude terrain surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes. As you approach the lake, the views become increasingly impressive, with the turquoise water contrasting against the surrounding peaks.
Once at Humantay Lake, you will have time to rest, take photographs, enjoy the scenery, and learn more about the natural and cultural significance of the area.
After the visit, begin the descent back to the trailhead, where transportation will be waiting.
The group will then continue to the restaurant area for lunch before beginning the return journey to Cusco.
Arrival in Cusco is expected in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on traffic, weather conditions, and the pace of the group.

RAINBOW MOUNTAIN FULL-DAY TOUR → END OF PROGRAM
Your final day begins very early with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco for the journey toward Rainbow Mountain.
You will travel south through traditional Andean communities and high-altitude landscapes before stopping for breakfast.
After breakfast, continue toward the trekking area, where your guide will provide instructions and information before beginning the hike.
The trail leads through open high-Andean terrain where you may see llamas, alpacas, local communities, and surrounding mountain ranges.
Upon reaching the main viewpoint, you will discover Rainbow Mountain, famous for its naturally colored mineral layers and spectacular panoramic scenery.
You will have time to rest, take photographs, and enjoy the views before beginning the descent.
After completing the hike, you will return to the restaurant area for a buffet lunch and then begin the journey back to Cusco.
Arrival in Cusco is expected in the late afternoon.

Humantay Lake Entrance Fee

Rainbow Mountain Entrance Fee
The entrance fee to Rainbow Mountain is not included unless it is specifically stated in your booking confirmation. This fee is generally paid locally before entering the trekking area.
Horse Rental at Humantay Lake
Optional horse rental during the Humantay Lake hike is not included. Travelers who wish to use this service must pay for it separately, subject to local availability.
Horse Rental at Rainbow Mountain
Optional horse rental during the Rainbow Mountain hike is not included and must be arranged and paid for directly during the excursion, subject to availability.
Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain Tickets
Entrance tickets for Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, or other additional Machu Picchu routes are not included in the standard package and must be requested in advance.
Panoramic Train Upgrades

Reservation Confirmation
A reservation is considered confirmed once the required initial payment has been received and the main services included in the package have been successfully secured. Final confirmation is subject to availability of Machu Picchu entrance tickets, trains, hotels, and other required services.
Passenger Information
All passenger information must be provided exactly as shown on the passport or official identification document. Machu Picchu and train reservations are issued using personal passenger information. Any error in the name, passport number, nationality, or other required details may result in additional costs or restrictions imposed by the corresponding supplier.
Payment Policy
A 25% deposit of the total package price is required to begin the reservation process. The remaining 75% balance must be paid no later than 15 days before the tour begins. Reservations made within 15 days of departure may require full payment at the time of booking.
Machu Picchu Ticket Availability

Changes Requested by the Passenger
Any request to change the travel date, passenger information, hotel category, train service, Machu Picchu ticket, or another confirmed service is subject to availability and supplier conditions. Additional charges may apply when previously issued services cannot be modified without penalty.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Any refund will depend on the amount that can be recovered from hotels, train companies, official entrance tickets, transportation providers, and other suppliers. Services that have already been issued and are non-refundable or non-transferable will be deducted from any applicable refund.
Machu Picchu Tickets and Other Official Tickets
Once issued, official entrance tickets are subject to the rules established by the corresponding authorities. Some tickets may have strict modification, cancellation, or refund conditions. Any non-recoverable amount will remain the passenger’s responsibility.
Humantay Lake & Rainbow Mountain
Both excursions take place at high altitude and require walking on mountain terrain. Weather, road conditions, local restrictions, or safety considerations may require reasonable changes to schedules or routes. Travelers should evaluate their physical condition before participating and inform Machu Picchu Team in advance of any mobility limitations or relevant requirements that may affect participation.
Optional Horse Rental
Horse rental at Humantay Lake or Rainbow Mountain is an optional service provided locally and is not included in the standard package. Availability, price, and service conditions are controlled by local providers.
Weather and Force Majeure
Machu Picchu Team is not responsible for events beyond reasonable operational control, including severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, strikes, government restrictions, transportation interruptions, or other force majeure situations. When possible, our team will assist in arranging reasonable alternatives. Any refund will depend on the amounts recoverable from the affected suppliers.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend that all passengers purchase appropriate insurance covering medical emergencies, high-altitude activities, cancellations, interruptions, delays, and lost or damaged luggage.
