First Day (Tipón - Pikillaqta - Andahuaylillas Sixtine Chapel):
We will pick you up starting at 08:20 AM from your hotel or accommodation in the city of Cusco, it is recommended that you stay in the center of Cusco.
Together with our guide and group, we will travel by tourist transport to the South Valley of Cusco.
During your tour, the first tourist attraction we will visit will be the Tipón Archaeological Site, also known as the Temple of Water. We will appreciate the irrigation system and agricultural terraces from the Inca era.
We will continue our tour south to the Pikillaqta Archaeological Site, the ancient city of the Waris. It was a pre-Inca urban, administrative, and religious center, more important in the Wari culture due to its dimensions. You will have views of the wetland of the Huacarpay lagoon, located in the town of Lucre.
Finally, we will have a visit to the district of Andahuaylillas, where the San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas Church (Sixtine Chapel of America) is located. Built in the 17th century, it houses one of the most beautiful examples of Colonial Art, with gilded altars, murals, paintings, and polychromatic ceilings.
After the last visit, we will return to Cusco, arriving in the city at approximately 3:00 p.m.
