If you are arriving early in the morning by bus from Cusco, Arequipa, or another destination, please also send us the bus company and estimated arrival time so we can coordinate Puno Bus Terminal pick-up when this service has been arranged in advance.

Reservation and Confirmation
Your reservation is considered confirmed once Machu Picchu Team has received the required passenger information and payment and has issued the corresponding booking confirmation. Availability depends on boat capacity, local family accommodation on Amantani Island, guide availability, entrance arrangements, and other services required for the two-day tour.
Passenger Information
Travelers are responsible for providing complete and accurate personal and contact information when booking. Any change that could affect hotel pick-up, bus terminal coordination, accommodation, meals, or other tour services should be communicated to Machu Picchu Team as soon as possible.
Hotel and Bus Terminal Pick-Up
Hotel pick-up is available from selected accommodations in central Puno. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed before departure. Travelers arriving by overnight bus may request Puno Bus Terminal pick-up, subject to prior coordination and confirmation. Please provide the correct bus company, departure city, and expected arrival time.
Tour Schedule
The times shown in the itinerary are approximate and may vary according to weather, navigation conditions, passenger pace, local community activities, port operations, and other operational circumstances. Machu Picchu Team may make reasonable adjustments when necessary while maintaining the main experiences of the tour whenever possible.
Weather and Navigation Conditions
Lake Titicaca is located at high altitude, and weather conditions can change quickly. Strong winds, rain, storms, or other conditions may affect navigation between Uros, Amantani, Taquile, and Puno. When safety requires an itinerary adjustment, the guide and boat operator will determine the most appropriate alternative.
Amantani Family Homestay
The overnight stay on Amantani Island is in a local family home and is intended to provide an authentic community experience. Accommodation is basic and should not be compared with a conventional hotel. Facilities, room configuration, hot water, electricity, internet access, and bathroom arrangements may be limited depending on the host family.
Meals and Dietary Requirements
The meals specifically listed in the inclusions are provided during the tour, including meals prepared by the host family on Amantani and the scheduled lunches during the journey. Travelers with vegetarian, vegan, allergy-related, or other dietary requirements should inform us when booking so the local families and restaurants can prepare appropriately whenever possible.
Included Services
Only services specifically listed in the What’s Included section are included in the tour price. Personal purchases, additional food or drinks, souvenirs, optional activities, gratuities, travel insurance, and other services not specifically listed remain the traveler’s responsibility.
Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted directly to Machu Picchu Team through an official communication channel. Any refund will depend on the applicable cancellation conditions and on costs already incurred for transportation, entrance fees, accommodation, meals, local families, guides, or other non-recoverable services.
Changes to the Travel Date
Requests to change the departure date are subject to availability and should be submitted as early as possible. Changes cannot be guaranteed after boat services, accommodation, meals, or other local arrangements have been confirmed. Any additional cost will be communicated before the modification is completed.
No-Show and Late Arrival
Travelers must be ready at the confirmed pick-up location and time. A passenger who does not appear or misses the departure for reasons unrelated to Machu Picchu Team may be considered a no-show, and the missed services may be non-refundable.
Health and Altitude
Lake Titicaca is located at approximately 3,800 meters / 12,500 feet above sea level. The itinerary includes walking on Amantani and Taquile Islands, including slopes and steps. Travelers should consider their physical condition and acclimatization before participating. Anyone with relevant medical or mobility concerns should seek appropriate medical advice before traveling.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included. We recommend suitable coverage for medical emergencies, accidents, trip interruption, transportation disruptions, and lost or damaged belongings.

You will spend one night in a local family homestay on Amantani Island. Accommodation is simple and designed to provide an authentic community experience. Facilities are more basic than a conventional hotel, but the stay offers a unique opportunity to learn about local traditions and daily life.
3. Are meals included in the Lake Titicaca 2-Day Tour?
Yes. The tour includes the meals specified in the itinerary, including two lunches, one dinner, and one breakfast. Dinner and breakfast are prepared by your host family on Amantani Island using locally available ingredients, while lunch on Day 2 is served during the visit to Taquile Island.
4. Is the tour physically demanding?
The tour is considered easy to moderate, but travelers should be comfortable walking at high altitude. Amantani and Taquile include uphill paths, stone steps, and uneven terrain. We recommend carrying a small overnight backpack with warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket or rain poncho, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, personal toiletries, medication, a reusable water bottle, and a change of clothes for Day 2. You should also bring some cash in Peruvian soles for personal purchases, souvenirs, drinks, or optional expenses.
