The Maras Moray ATV tour combines adventure and history in one morning. On this half-day quad bike Sacred Valley route, you ride an ATV for about 1 hour 20 minutes on rural trails, through farmland and Andean villages, with views of the snow-capped Verónica and Chicón peaks.

The tour costs USD 40 per person with an individual ATV, or USD 55 for 2 travelers sharing a double ATV. It runs from 7:00 AM to about 2:00 PM and includes transport from our office, the ATV with fuel, helmet, gloves, goggles and a bilingual guide. We leave our office in Cusco at 7:00 AM and drive about 1 to 1.5 hours to the ATV base in Cruzpata for a safety briefing and practice. Then you ride about 40 minutes to Moray for a guided visit of 20 to 30 minutes, and ride back to the base on the same Maras ATV route.

For safety, we continue by vehicle to the Maras Salt Mines, where you learn about traditional salt harvesting. We return to Cusco between 1:30 and 2:00 PM.

Choose an Individual ATV (USD 40) and drive your own quad bike, or a Double ATV (USD 55) and share it with your travel partner. Entrance fees are paid on site in soles: Moray is covered by the Cusco Tourist Ticket, and the Maras Salt Mines cost S/20.

Maras Moray Atv Tour Itinerary

Cusco → Cruzpata → ATV to Moray → Cruzpata → Maras Salt Mines → Cusco

Your Moray Salt Mines ATV Tour starts at 7:00 AM at our office (Portal Nuevo 270, Plaza Regocijo). After 1 to 1.5 hours we reach the ATV base in Cruzpata for a safety briefing, equipment fitting and a practice session.

Around 8:45 AM you ride about 40 minutes through farmland and Andean villages to Moray, for a guided visit of the circular terraces. Then you ride back to Cruzpata (about 40 minutes), with a possible stop at a viewpoint.

For safety, we continue by vehicle to the Maras Salt Mines (about 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM) to learn about traditional salt harvesting. We return to Cusco between 1:30 and 2:00 PM.

Moray and Maras ATV Booking Policy

1. Full Payment

This one-day tour requires 100% payment when you book: USD 40 per person with an individual ATV, or USD 55 for 2 travelers sharing a double ATV.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

24 hours or more before the tour: 100% refund. Less than 24 hours, but before 10:00 PM the day before: 50% refund. After 10:00 PM the day before, or no-show: no refund. Card and currency-conversion fees are non-refundable.

3. Date Changes

Change your date for free until 7:00 PM the day before, subject to availability. Any extra cost is paid by the traveler.

4. Weather or Force Majeure

We may offer a new date, a modified itinerary or a refund for services not delivered.

5. ATV Safety

Minimum driver age: 16, with adult consent. Follow your guide’s instructions. You sign a risk agreement and are responsible for ATV damage costs.

6. Meeting Time

Be at our office at 7:00 AM. Late arrivals may miss the tour, without refund.
