Certifications and Legal Compliance

At Machu Picchu Team, we operate in full compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements established for tourism companies in Peru and the Cusco region. As a professional tour operator, we maintain the licenses, registrations, and safety certifications required to provide tourism services responsibly, legally, and professionally.

Our company holds a valid Operating License issued by the competent local authority of the Municipality of Cusco, authorizing the operation of our office and tourism-related activities within the city. This license confirms that our business complies with the municipal requirements applicable to commercial establishments.

We also maintain the corresponding Civil Defense / Safety Inspection Certificate, confirming that our office and facilities comply with the required safety conditions, including emergency preparedness, evacuation measures, signage, and other standards designed to protect our passengers, staff, and visitors.

In addition, Machu Picchu Team is registered with GERCETUR Cusco, the regional authority responsible for regulating and supervising tourism-related activities in the Cusco region. This registration confirms our status as a formal tourism company operating within the established regional framework.

At the national level, our tourism activities are aligned with the regulations and requirements established by MINCETUR – the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, the government authority responsible for tourism policy and regulation throughout the country.

Maintaining these authorizations and certifications is an important part of our commitment to legal compliance, operational safety, transparency, and professional service. We continuously review our procedures and documentation to ensure that our operations remain aligned with the applicable requirements of the Peruvian tourism industry.

For our travelers, this means booking with a formal, registered, and legally established tour operator that works under the supervision of the corresponding local, regional, and national tourism authorities.
