Your Huchuy Qosqo Trek to Machu Picchu 2 Days begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Cusco.
You will travel by tourist transportation toward the highlands surrounding Cusco, where the trekking route begins. During the drive, the scenery gradually changes from the city to open Andean landscapes, agricultural fields, traditional communities, and mountain terrain.
Upon arrival at the trailhead, your professional guide will provide a short briefing about the route, weather conditions, safety recommendations, and the historical importance of the area.
The trek then begins through high-Andean landscapes, following ancient paths and mountain trails with views of valleys, farmland, and surrounding peaks.
As you continue, the route leads toward Huchuy Qosqo, an impressive archaeological complex located above the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival, you will explore the site with your guide and learn about its stone and adobe structures, agricultural terraces, ceremonial spaces, and connection with the Inca period.
After the guided visit, you will begin the descent toward the Sacred Valley, enjoying panoramic views along the way.
At the end of the trek, transportation will be waiting to take you to the corresponding train station.
You will then board a tourist train to Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Upon arrival, our team will assist you with your hotel check-in and provide the information you need for the following day’s Machu Picchu visit.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will prepare for the main highlight of the journey: Machu Picchu.
At the scheduled time, you will take the shuttle bus from Aguas Calientes to the entrance of the archaeological sanctuary.
Your professional guide will accompany you through the Machu Picchu circuit confirmed with your entrance ticket.
During the guided visit, you will learn about the history, architecture, engineering, ceremonial areas, agricultural sectors, and cultural importance of Machu Picchu.
The guided visit generally lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the confirmed circuit, entrance schedule, and visitor conditions.
After completing the tour, you will take the shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes.
Depending on your return train schedule, you may have free time for lunch or to explore the town before boarding your train.
You will then travel by train toward Ollantaytambo or the corresponding arrival station, where transportation will be waiting to continue the journey back to Cusco.
Arrival in Cusco is expected in the evening.
