Hans is without doubt the best guide I’ve had on a tour, such an amazing guy and made the experience so much fun, full of knowledge about everything you’re seeing and took us to some spots that others didn’t get to see for which I’m very grateful.

Some other parts of the tour (Salkantay Trek 5D/4N) left a bit to be desired - particularly about the accommodations that they use, the breakfasts and the timings we had to stick to, but leaving 5 stars because Hans made it all worth it. Would recommend this company if you’re going with him!

The Machu Picchu Team did an incredible job of organising an informative and adventurous Salkantay trek. Our guide Amoroso was extremely enthusiastic and was full of personality. As a group we agreed that it was one of the best trips we had been on and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I want to preface this by saying that Hans is absolutely the best tour guide that I have ever had for anything and that he is the only reason I am giving this tour company such a good rating (otherwise I would have given them 1 star). Hans is incredibly attentive and helpful. As for the rest of the tour…not so much. I’ve done a lot of these type tours and this is by far the worst food I have ever had during a tour. There wasn’t enough, we went to bed hungry every night, and they had the worst coffee I had ever had in my life. A heaping plate of pasta with no sauce is not a dinner. Breakfast was lackluster and again we were hungry every morning by 8am (breakfast is around 0500). The accommodations were also lacking (except for the second and third night in the sky domes - that place was nice). The first night was the coldest night if my life with no warm place to recover. Bathrooms gross and overflowing. The thermal pools were gross I don’t recommend doing that although that was not owned by the tour company. I would recommend Hans as a tour guide 1000x again and again but this company has a lot to improve upon in terms of both food and accommodation.

just finished 4 day trek with our guide elisban (tupac). It was a once in a lifetime experience and SO well organised. Unfortunately I got ill on day 2 but tupac was so supportive and motivational in helping me to finish. Without him I wouldve finished early and never made it to incredible Machu Picchu. The accommodations were amazing, great food, and even better guides. Tupac was also really knowledgeable about the mountains, MP itself and inca history. Thankyou tupac and machu picchu team!💖✨

I just finished the four day Salkantay guide with Elisban and we had such an amazing time. It was very fun, very informative, and a great way to see some more of the Peruvian countryside. I only with I did the five day trek so it was longer! Thank you so much Elisban (Tupac) you really made the trek one of a kind and I would recommend Machu Pichu Team to anyone!

I just finished the 4-day Salkantay trek with our tour guide Elisban (Tupac) and it was genuinely amazing. The views were incredible across all four days and the trip was perfectly organised, from the day plan to the meals. Tupac knew the answer to every question we had and made sure we had as much fun as possible in the time that we had. I would 110% recommend Machu Picchu Team (and Tupac) to anyone considering it!

Had a brilliant time on the 5-day Salkantay trek. Our guides Albaro Salas and Edgar Cardenas worked incredibly hard to keep us safe and make sure we had a great time. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always looking after us.

The trek was challenging but rewarding. It was a great balance of high mountain, forest, and culture/history.

I had the BEST time doing the 5 day Salkantay trek with tour guides Edgar Cardenas and Albaro Salas. They were so organized and on top of things and answered all of our questions and were so knowledgeable about the area we were hiking through. This was by far the highlight of my time in Peru and I highly recommend trying to get on their trek if you are looking to spend some time in the Peruvian mountains and jungle. We also did not have Machu Picchu tickets going into the trek and they were super accommodating and helped us acquire them so we could stay with the group. Additionally, they were so accommodating of challenging dietary restrictions such as vegan and celiac.
