It was a fantastic experience to make this 5 days trekking experience with Macchu Picchu team. The trekking itself is demanding and requires you to be acclimatized, but if you are fit and you spent a few days at altitude you will enjoy it a lot and you will be able to make it through. A special shout out to our guide Alexis(Nacho) who was able to always make us have fun whilst being disciplined and on time. We got a bit unlucky with the weather on the second day during our ascent to the Salkantay Pass where we got almost zero visibility all day, yet Alexis was able to keep up our spirits and make us enjoy even in such hard conditions. The following days we got luckier and the hot springs and zip line activities are highly recommended to have some fun on top of the good views you will get while trekking. I also want to say that the Macchu Picchu team has it all organized to perfection, the porters always arrive on time with your stuff well preserved so you only have to carry essentials, the chefs cook for you amazing food every meal and the accommodations are not only comfortable but also highly scenographic. Super recommended to book with Macchu Picchu team if you are looking to have a great Salkantay Trail experience.

Hicimos el tour de Valle Sagrado y nos encantó. Nuestro guÃa Nemias fue siempre muy amable y atento! Muchas gracias!! También hicimos salkantay en 3 dÃas. Tuvimos una muy buena experiencia, principalmente gracias a nuestro guÃa Stik, quien fue increÃble durante todo el viaje. Siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudarnos, fue muy amable, atento y responsable, y sin duda hizo que la experiencia fuera mucho mejor.
Por otro lado, tuvimos algunos inconvenientes con la agencia, ya que realizaron varios cambios en la planificación en el mismo momento. Por suerte Stik estuvo siempre pendiente de nosotras, buscando soluciones y ayudándonos a resolver cada problema lo antes posible. ¡Muchas gracias stik!
My friends and I have joined two day trip on 26/8/2026 and 27/8/2026 for Rainbow mountain and sacred Valley.
We have enquiried at the office at Lima and were served by two staffs called Mr Deybi and Mr Renzo.Both of them are very patient and helped us to cleared all our doubts.
And they can speak very well English which is not common in Peru.

We did the 5 day, 4 night Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu in September 2026 as it was an incredible experience. Our group name was the Spicy Amigos!
We had Max and Eduardo as guides. I could not recommend having them as guides more!!They were both extremely knowledgeable, approachable, kind, and even guided us through an unexpected blizzard in the high mountains.
Jesus was our chef and provided great food. My boyfriend and I specifically booked with Machu Picchu Team because they had optional for dietary restrictions. I am allergic to eggs and peanuts, and I have celiac disease so I cannot have gluten. I was provided with delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of hike that I could have. Max and Jesus both double-checked everything with me before each meal. I cannot thank them enough.
Antonio was our horsemen. He transported our duffel bags and sleeping bags to camp each night. On day 2, we had snow, rain, and hail all day, yet our bags arrived dry and in time. Thank you
Overall, Machu Picchu Team provided my boyfriend and I with an experience we will never forget. We are already talking about how badly we want to come back in the future. Thank you so much, Max was incredible.
Did the 5 day salkantay trek with Max and Eduardo as guides, Jesus as the cook and Antonio as the horseman. All were exceptional. Food was top notch, horsemen were masters of their craft and I can’t say enough about Max’s skill, knowledge, and personality. Every minute of this trek was both educational and entertaining. Accommodations were incredibly scenic and comfortable. Spicy Amigos till I die.
Our guides Max and Eduardo were great, attentive and informative making the whole experience very enjoyable and interesting. The food throughout was delicious, as a vegetarian they catered well. A much smaller group size compared to over companies which I really enjoyed. Overall the experience was really positive and a trek to remember. The only issues that occurred were due to false advertisement from the company, this was at no fault of our guides and more from the description given at time of booking.

Our team was named spicy amigos! Great and memorable trip. Friends were made, trials and tribulations were endured, and memories were ingrained for a lifetime. Max and Eduardo were great tour guides for our 5 day salary trek! Jesus was an awesome cook- many great authentic Peruvian meals. Be prepared for any weather condition as well as an unforgettable experience.
Max was the fearless and reliable leader of the Amigos. Eduardo was his Robin, always by his side to help us. Jesús did a wonderful job cooking for us all.
