Juan and albero are such amazing guides. They brought the fun to some really challenging days. The food was fantastic and the accommodation was beautiful. We had such a good time

We did the 4 day trek with Omar as our guide. He was fantastic and made sure we all had a great time. He went above and beyond to accomodate our varying dietary requirements and even organised a cake to celebrate my brother’s birthday on day 3. Our accomodations were incredibly nice and we were very well fed

We did the 5-day Salkantay Trek with Max and Gabriel. The trek itself was amazing, although at times harder than expected. The guides were honest about the level of difficulty during the trek, and made sure that everyone knew there were alternatives available when it may be needed (e.g. horses). The guides were very passionate about the history and culture of the country and the significance of our surroundings during the trip, which made the beautiful scenery feel even richer. Size and atmosphere of the groups was really nice, and all of the guides kept us informed, motivated and on track, while also giving plenty of space to enjoy the trek and free time to relax. There were a few surprises, as there were some requirements, fees, inflexibilities, etc that weren't communicated in advance and caused unnecessary stress at times. The biggest one being that you are expected to leave luggage in Cusco, and pack all equipment for the trek into a small-medium sized "Machu Picchu Team" duffel bag, and on the final day, all duffel bags are left at a cafe and you have to carry everything you will need for just the last night with you separately to Aguas Calientes and Machu Pichu (this created problems for people without tickets to MP and unsure how long they would stay there for). Also you will need to return to cusco after the trek to drop off their duffel bags and pickup your luggage. A few of us had planned to finish the trek without returning to Cusco and so this made plans very tricky, without any time to replan. Aside from those hiccups, we had a great experience and Max/Gabriel made it feel really special!

Magnífica experiencia. Aprendimos mucho sobre la cultura peruana y sobre las tradiciones con nuestro guía y amigo Marco Antonio. Definitivamente los 5 días de trek suponen un gran esfuerzo físico pero valen totalmente la pena.

Nous avons vécu une merveilleuse expérience avec Machu Picchu team. Nous avions un groupe extraordinaire et très diversifié, composé de personnes de 18 à 38 ans. Tout le monde s’entendait super bien et il n’y avait pratiquement aucune barrière de langue.
Notre guide, Hans, a été exceptionnel. Les guides sont toujours prêts à aider et super agréables en tout temps. Le staff est également très compétent. Un merci spécial au chef Diablo et à Michel le Cowboy, qui ont contribué à rendre l’expérience encore meilleure.

Les hébergements étaient très beaux et bien entretenus, mais ils ne sont pas isolés, donc il peut faire froid la nuit. Préparez-vous à toutes sortes de températures : certaines journées commencent dans le froid et se terminent dans la chaleur.

Les journées de marche sont longues, alors apportez de bons souliers ou des pansements pour les ampoules. Nous sommes loin d’être de grandes sportives et nous avons réussi toutes les journées sans difficulté.

The wonderful people who support you during this journey make the experience far greater than you can get anywhere else. Our chefs prepared delicious meals, somehow beating us up the mountain when we had a huge head start, and they had food waiting for us upon our arrival. They were headed by Juan Del Dios who did a great job having delicious food ready for us the whole trip, and even took the extra initiative to make my friend a birthday cake after hearing it was his birthday the day before. There was a team of cowboys (led by Michel) that carried all of our bags to the next camp each day, allowing us to travel with just a light day pack and enjoy the hike. They were always on time to pick up our bags and delivered them to our camp with care and efficiency. The guides were super friendly and the entire experience with this company was beyond my expectations. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Wszystko było świetnie zorganizowane od początku do końca. Nasz przewodnik Hans był wspaniały. Zawsze miał dobry humor, potrafił zmotywować całą grupę nawet podczas trudniejszych odcinków trasy i sprawił, że wszyscy czuli się komfortowo. Dzięki niemu atmosfera przez cały trekking była fantastyczna.

Jedzenie było przepyszne, bardzo różnorodne i znacznie lepsze, niż się spodziewałam podczas kilkudniowego trekkingu. Zakwaterowanie również było świetne i pozwalało naprawdę odpocząć po długim dniu marszu.

Całe doświadczenie przerosło moje oczekiwania. Bardzo polecam Machu Picchu Team każdemu, kto planuje Salkantay!

I had an amazing experience with this trek! I was blessed to have Hans as my guide. He might just be the best guide ever. The support staff who cooked and transported equipment were beyond what I expected. I couldn't have chosen a better agency

Additionally the kitchen staff led by Sr. Del Dios provided excellent meals and even surprised me with a cake on my birthday. 10/10 experience would recommend to all
