Loved the Salkantey trek with Machu Picchu team. Abel and Victor were the best guides (also explained everything well in english).

The trek had been amazing, Amoroso is the best guide ever.

Me and my friends took the 5-day Salkantay trip with Machu Picchu Team, and it was an incredible experience. Our guide, Owen, was fantastic throughout the trek—he was easy to get along with, made everyone feel comfortable, and brought a lot of fun and positive energy to the group. He was knowledgeable, supportive, and really helped make the whole journey memorable.

¡Recomiendo muchísimo este tour! Fueron cinco días de pura naturaleza, cultura y compañerismo. Tuvimos como guía a Juan, quien nos motivó en todo momento, incluso durante los días de lluvia que nos tocaron. Nos compartió y mostró distintos aspectos de la historia y las costumbres de cada lugar, haciendo que la experiencia fuera realmente única.

El tour en general está muy bien organizado y cuenta con un equipo de cocina increíble, que lograba hacernos olvidar el cansancio en cada comida. Había mucha variedad y todo era riquísimo.

Además, el equipaje y la bolsa de dormir son transportados por un equipo de arrieros, que siempre se adelantan para que al llegar a cada campamento ya tengas todo listo.

Admiración y agradecimiento total para todo el equipo de trabajo de Machu Pucchu Team, que hicieron de estos cinco días una experiencia inolvidable.

I had an epic adventure doing the Salkantay Trek. Our guide Juan was a total treasure, fun and thoughtful. He joked a lot and always took care that everyone was happy as much as possible. We had horrible weather most of the time but made the best of it. I totally loved it.
The accomodations were nice, and also the extra activities like hot springs and ziplining were really cool, I'd totally reccomend. Definitely worth the money. We missed nothing. Thank you!!! Love to Juan!

Magnifique expérience que le Salkantay Trek ! Météo un peu compliqué mais super équipe de cuisine et transport des affaires avec les ânes ! Un tout grand merci à Juan notre guide qui est passionné et très bienveillant avec notre groupe. Un grand merci à lui ! Magnifique nature.

Attention toutefois à prendre un bonne équipement de pluie et de bonnes chaussures qui tiennent bien l’eau !

Ne pas sous estimer non plus l’acclamation à l’altitude !

Our Salkantay trek was a great experience ! We weren’t so lucky with the weather but we have amazing souvenirs. Our guide Juan was sensational and deaply passionate about the culture and the history of Peru. Food was excellent especially given the extreme conditions.
We think however that Matchu Pitchu Team could improves some aspects like : having some soap for bathrooms, having a cup of tea for the salkantay day, explane more the « technical » informations before the trek, and specify on the web site that we have to bring money for diferent kind of tips.
Thank you for this unforgetable experience, which we recommand !

La experiencia fue fantástica.
Juan trabaja de manera muy profesional, armó un grupo con gente de todas partes del mundo, nos mantuvo animados en los momentos más duros de caminata y nos transmito su conocimiento y amor por su país.
Mucho respeto y admiración por los que hacen posible la experiencia, cocineros y arrieros, que te esperan al final de cada día con buena comida caliente y lo necesario para poder descansar de la mejor manera.

The 5D/4N Salkantay Trek was a magnificent and unforgettable experience through the wild, alpine landscape at Lake Humanity over the Salkantay Pass and through the high jungle to Machu Picchu. Our cheerful guide, Aurelio, made the trek truly special, explaining his country and culture through numerous customs and stories!
The organization of the entire trek was superb, from the accommodations and the transport of our clothes by donkey to the fantastic food! There was always a delicious vegetarian option available. I highly recommend the Machu Picchu team and the Salkantay tour!

I did the salkantay 5 day/ 4 day trek and cannot recommend it enough. This was all down to our guide Owen! His positive energy from the start was unmatched and really inspired us even in the toughest of moments. He also made us feel super comfortable and helped us bond as a group instantly. As well as guiding us along the route he taught us about his culture- the Inca culture and captivated us during the rituals. We were all moved by the passion he has for this and his job. Everyone else in the team, including the chef and Sherpas made our experience unforgettable. Thank you Pacha Owen!
