Den Salkantay Trek mit unserem Guide Steven vom Machu Picchu Team zu wandern war eine meiner beeindruckendsten, schönsten und gleichzeitig forderndsten Erfahrungen in Peru. Von der Beratung vorher übers Trekken bis hin zur Rückkehr hab ich mich super begleitet, ernst genommen bei Fragen und Problemen und immer sicher gefühlt! Danke ans gesamte Team, vor allem Steven mit seiner freundlichen, stets bemühten und geduldigen Art, sein Wissen was er mit uns geteilt hat, und auch an das Kochteam, was uns stets mit köstlichen und toll angerichteten Platten erwartet hat!

My friend and I did the 5 day salkantay trek with Machu Picchu team and I can’t recommend it enough. Our guide Steven was clearly very passionate about Incan society and it was great to share his interests throughout the trek. There was ample food throughout the journey and the accommodation each night was cozy and unlike anywhere else I have stayed, which made the whole experience feel easy despite the long walks each day.

The 4 day Salkantay Trek was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. The scenery was breathtaking, the organisation was excellent, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.

A huge part of that was our guide, Omar. He was one of the best guides I’ve ever had. He made sure everyone in the group felt included and supported, no matter their hiking ability, and always went the extra mile to ensure we had an amazing experience.

His knowledge of the trail, the local culture, and the history of the Incas added so much to the trek. If you’re thinking about doing the Salkantay Trek, I couldn’t recommend it more. And if you get the chance, ask for Omar as your guide. You won’t be disappointed.

Hele leuke Salkantay gehad met Omar als gids. Hij is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en erg duidelijk zodat iedereeen weet waar hij aan toe is!

Salkantay tour, super recomendado, cada paso tiene su recompensa. Un tour con la combinación perfecta de Historia, cultura y naturaleza. Omar fue nuestro guía y sus palabras justas y sabias a cada momento nos acompañaron. Contagió a cada uno su amor por la naturaleza y la cultura. Nos llevamos una experiencia increíble y un amigo en Omar.

We did the jungle trail and 3 days out of 4 we were just the two if us with the guide. Our guide, David, was very helpful and was always happy to teach us new things, we were very happy to have him as guide. Our overall experience was incredible, we recommend !!
