I did the 5 day / 4 night salkantay trek. Genrri and Gabrielle were the best guides, they took time to explain everything so well and made the trip so much fun for us all. The whole experience was unforgettable and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Machu Picchu teams offered an amazing experience along the Salkantay Trek, cannot speak highly enough of Steven our guide. He gave us a very detailed inside to the culture and answered every question we asked. He was calm, kind, respectful, and just an all round LEGEND.
We had a guide named Steven and he was the best, let us walk at our own pace the greatest and just funny. Always encouraging us and made us team bond. Told us super interesting information and knew what he was talking about. Loved him!

We completed the 5 day Salkantay Trek with Vlad and Franco, and it was an incredible experience. We usually hike independently, so this was our first guided group tour and it exceeded all expectations. The trek was truly the highlight of our trip to Peru.

Just finished the 5-Day Salkantay Trek with Machu Picchu Team. My tour guide was Max and he was great. From the beginning he told us that our group (12 people) would become a family, and that was exactly what happened.
Behind the scenes others (horsemen and cooks) made sure the logistics came together seamlessly. I’ll admit the food wasn’t my favorite, however after hiking all day I was too hungry to care.
All of the accommodations were great, we lucked out with weather and didn’t run into any rain. If anything having a good amount of layers was very useful.
Communicating with Machu Picchu Team before the trip was confusing because we were always messing back and forth with different people. After I paid they messed up my ticket and in all I ended up purchasing 3 Machu Picchu tickets and 2 train tickets. Advising you to schedule everything outside of a group chat so nothing gets lost in communication.
Highly recommended the trek! Such a beautiful country, rich with culture.
I had the best time on the salkantay trek. everything was super well organised and our guide Steven was amazing . He had lots of knowledge, cared for everyone in the group and was super fun and lovely person. Also the food and accommodation was incredible !!!!! it has been a great experience :)
