I had the most amazing 5-day Salkantay Trek with Juan! The scenery and historical sites were incredible, which was enriched by Juancho’s deep knowledge and passion for Incan history. I loved every day on the Trek, and Juan’s expertise made it feel like a once in a lifetime experience!

The Salkantay trek with Juancho (Escalante) was incredible. He knew so much about the activities and the locations. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Peru. Learnt so many interesting things about Incas and their history.

The tour itself was very well structured with good food and transport fully organised for us, but Juancho was the reason we all felt so welcomed and loved the experience.

I finished the Salkantay trek!! Juancho Escalante was my guide and he was the best! We were the first to arrive and he was genuinely enthusiastic and keen to teach us about Incan history. He cared so much about my food allergies and honestly he made the trip!!!

I had an amazing experience with Machu Picchu teams. The whole team including the chef and the horsemen were excellent. The guide Juancho Escalante made the trip unforgettable. He was very informative and genuine and made my salkantay experience so much better.

The Salkantay Trek was a very special experience. The natural beauty was wonderful, but what really made the trip unique was the information from our guide. Juancho was extremely knowledgeable, and caring - every stop we received valuable information and he actively went out of his way to make sure we were all OK at all times, with dietary requirements etc. The best part was that Juancho made sure we always left at such a time that we would always be the first at the beauty points to have the views to ourselves. 5 stars, thank you Juancho!!

I cannot say enough good things about Machu Picchu Team!! Go book a trek right now, you won’t regret it. We did the 5 day trek (which was the perfect amount). From the incredible views, to the food, to the people and to our wonderful guide Amoroso, I couldn’t have asked for a better trek.

It was an incredible experience with great group size, accomodation, food and knowledge from our guide.

Amerosso was knowledgeable and funny. He made the trip feel like our own and encouraged us always to enjoy the journey and take it at our own pace.

By the end of the trip our group felt like family and shared a lot of fun memories.

I would highly reccomend Machu Picchu team for their organisation and culture.
