Wij hebben de 5 dagen / 4 nachten Salkantay trek geboekt onder leiding van Juancho Escalante. Hij heeft veel ervaring en heeft veel kennis (over de inca's) met ons gedeeld. Uiteindelijk voelde hij goed aan wat de groep nodig had. Muchos gracias!

Der Salkantay Trek mit Machu Picchu Teams war eine großartige Erfahrung. Vor allem mit Juancho Escalante als super Guide verlief alles reibungslos. Ich kann dieses Tour-Unternehmen herzlich weiter empfehlen.

Doing the Inca Jungle Trail with the Machu Picchu team was an incredible adventure from start to finish. The scenery and activities were amazing, but what really set this tour apart was our guide, Nestor. His deep knowledge of the history and surroundings added so much value to the trip. More than just a guide, he truly got involved with our group, kept our spirits high, and made sure everyone had the best time possible. If you are booking this trek, definitely ask for Nestor!

Fue una experiencia inolvidable. Hice el camino Salkantay 5 días y no solo quedé maravillado con la naturaleza, sino que también conocí muchas cosas que no sabía sobre los Incas. Compartimos con un grupo hermoso y con Owen, un guía excepcional que en todo momento estuvo atento hablando en inglés y en español. Si en algún momento piensan hacer este camino, háganlo. Y si lo hacen aquí, pregunten por Owen que realmente es un crack como persona y guía. Gracias por esta experiencia

An amazing experience, enhanced by the expertise of our wonderful guide Max and the food prepared by Jesus. A challenging trek made possible with due care and attention. I would highly recommend the Salkantay trek.

I loved every moment of it (almost): our guide Carlos Marx (Max) was super knowledgable, well orginised, caring, but most of it he was very passionate about his country, his people, the history, connection with the Mother Nature, and he shared this passion with us generously. We all learnt a lot about Peru and its people from Max. The trek itself was fantastic! Surrounded by stunningly beatuful nature and pleasantly difficult, but with options to do it easy for those affected by the altitude (i e. horse riding). The accommodation was great, see through igloos so you can watch the shooting stars from your bed! The food was delucious. Our chef Jesus tried very hard to provide us with nutritious, tasty and beautifully presented dishes, and plenty of it! Peruvians are quite generous with food portions. The eggs are always free range, potatos are super tasty, all ingredients were really good. The only one thing I would change: on day 3 we were placed in the bus to go down to the zip line place. We felt we were denied the amaizing hike down hill along the gorge, river and the mountain cliff. The ride felt dengerous on the narrow road close to a deep drop. Not pleasant at all. We would rather hiked it. And not many wanted to do the zip line anyway. So it felt a bit like cheating. Nevertherless, this was an incredible experience and I would strongly recommend this company to any fit person with curios mind and not too deep pocket. By the way, we have booked with the Inka Trail Backpackers company, but they are affiliated with Machu Picchu Team. Both great. And we got great t-shirts in the end😃.

Had a great time on my Salkantay Trek with our guide Vladimir! He helped us out throughout the whole 5 days and made the trek extremely enjoyable! Highly recommend Machu Pitchu Teams:)
