I booked the 5 day salkantay trek and ended up going with a small group. Our guide, Omar, was amazing. He was constantly supporting all of us and our needs. As a guide he was excellent. He taught us so much about the land and the culture and we often stopped multiple times a day to learn something new. The cook, horseman, and other guides were amazing as well. We were always so excited for our meals because we knew they were going to be great. Our team was truly amazing and they did an incredible job of making the salkantay trek something we would never forget.

We just finished the Salkantay Trek with Machu Picchu Team, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything was so well organized—the transport, accommodation, food, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. Every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully enjoy the incredible journey.

The highlight of our trip was our guide, Steven. He was so much more than just a guide—he truly made the experience what it was. He went above and beyond every single day, sharing his knowledge and passion, making sure everyone felt supported, and adding so many thoughtful personal touches. One of our favorite moments was the detailed face painting he did for every single person before reaching Machu Picchu. He was incredibly patient, caring, funny, and made our entire group feel like one big family.

If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend requesting Steven as your guide. He is an absolute gem and someone we’ll never forget.

Ronny was my tour guide, he was very helpful, funny and helped me learn spanish across the tour. One of the best 4 days of my life !

This trek was awesome! It was hard at times but rewarding! The views are great and the meals we had for breakfast, lunch and dinner were quite nice too!! Would highly recommend this hike, Amoroso was our guide and shared his wisdom, stories and experiences with us and was superb throughout all the days! A great experience and well organised.

This Salkantay Trek experience was more than we could have hoped for and made our dreams come true. Our guide Alexis (Nachito) was wonderful. He made sure we would not suffer from altitude sickness, always offering remedies and made sure we walked at a comfortable pace for everyone. He was also very knowledgeable, giving us insight into the history of the Incas along with flora and fauna. On top of everything he was just a great person to spend 5 days with. The food on the tour was absolutely amazing. The personal chef that travelled with us not only made incredible meals in large portions but was also very flexible in catering to dietary needs.
