Had a great time with Aurelio and Jean Pierre on the Salkantay Trek!

Ronny was an excellent tour guide for our Salkantay Trek! He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and always made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and enjoying the experience. He shared so much interesting information about the history, culture, and landscapes along the way, which made the trek even more special. Ronny’s positive attitude and support really made a difference, especially during the more challenging parts of the trek. I would highly recommend Ronny to anyone doing the Salkantay Trek

Great experience overall :). Truly challenging, especially with harsh and unexpected weather, but totally worth it in the end. We had Genrri as a guide, who was very funny, charismatic, and knowledgeable (shoutout Genrri!). The different accommodations every night made the trip extra fun. Tip: PACK TOILET PAPER, HAND SOAP, and LAYERS.

I’m happy with my experience with Machu Picchu Team and would recommend them to anyone looking for a more affordable option, not looking for anything too fancy.

One recurring issue was that the overall fee was not representative of the true total for the trip. There were some hidden fees here and there for planned activities which added up after a few days. It would be better to be transparent and have everything included in the grand total (the one posted online). Even if it’s not a crazy amount, people appreciate knowing ahead of time so they can bring the right amount of cash.

The Salkantay track to Machu Picchu was the highlight of our vacation, 3 days of great hikes followed by an amazing visit to Machu Picchu itself. Our guides Juancho and Angel were very helpful in not just getting us from point A to point B but also in giving us a better understanding of the history of the region and the nature around us, aside of this they were also great fun.

Great experience! We had a Lovely Time with our guide Juancho, the Trail was Beautiful and the accommodations were very nice. The Food was very good, thank you to our chef Abelardo! A lovely experience!

Had an amazing week with Juancho and Angel trekking salkantay on our way to Machu Picchu. Truly unforgettable experience and the team took care of us really well. The food exceeded all expectations, Abelardo was a great chef. The accommodations were really nice. Juancho was really friendly and had great knowledge about the Incas and knew the trek very well.

This was one of the most unique and awesome experiences I’ve had in my life. The Salkantay pass is not for everyone, as it can be quite demanding with the amount of walking, but if you are into hiking through amazing mountain ranges then this is a great tour! The guide Hans was always making sure he was keeping the group safe during the journey. He is an awesome person and was very knowledgeable. The food was great and we never went hungry. The campsites were surprisingly great, except the washrooms could be questionable at times. Overall a great experience!
