Epic Journey on the Salkantay Trail 5 day/4 night adventure. Steven our Expedition Guide was phenomenal. His knowledge and kind spiritedness was over the top. The trek was a challenge, but I made it the entire way and on with the group. I was also so blessed to be paired with an incredible group of fellow travelers, the bond we made along the way will be a gift to my soul for years to come. Every step is a win, and overcoming this challenge and trekking the journey is the real reward. Thank you Steven and all the great people on the Machu Pichu Team that made this dream of mine come true.
This was one of the best experiences of my life. The Salkantay trek was absolutely stunning and breathtaking like sleeping under the stars and seeing stunning scenery all around. It also challenged me in ways I never thought possible and allowed me to get in touch with not only nature but my Incan roots as well.
Big shout out to Vladmir the “Mountain King” who without a doubt is the best guide in all of Peru! Along with Eduardo, they both ensured that everyone on the trek was supported, encouraged, and motivated along the route. They shared amazing history, local traditions, great laughs, and good energy.
For a wonderful experience I recommend the Salkantay Trek but for a TRULY MAGNIFICENT, ONE OF A KIND TREK, I recommend doing it with Vladmir.

Had an incredible experience with the Machu Picchu Team on the Salkantay trek! A huge shoutout to our guides Hans and Gabriel who were fantastic throughout the entire journey. The food was also a massive highlight it was absolutely delicious every single day and far exceeded expectations for a trek. Highly recommend!
Amoroso was an excellent tour guide, we all felt educated and well accommodated for and he made sure everyone was included. Couldn’t recommend him enough!
Virkelig fed tur! Super dygtige og kompetente guider. Vi havde Hans og Gabriel som guider. De havde egne kokke med som var flinke og lavede rigeligt god mad. Overnatninger var helt fine. Den bedste tur😊

Le trek était incroyable, les poches vides mais le coeur rempli d’amour et de tendresse… Je me dois de vous recommander AMOROSO, quelle légende, un guide plein de sens et de surprises.
Mention spéciale à notre ami RODRIGO, qui a été un amour également (l’autre guide), et avec qui les 85000 heures de marche se sont transformées en extase.

Les habitations s’améliore de jour en jour en terme de confort. Les guides etaient très gentils et accommodants. Faire le salkantay treck si vous avez de l’expérience assez avancé en treck et un plutôt bon cardio sachant l’altitude et la difficulté du treck.
Amarosa was a brilliant tour guide, explained everything along the way and was a pleasure to be around. Overall was a really fun experience and would highly recommend to anyone who is in the Cuzco area.
