My friend and I did the 4 days Salkantay trek with Ronny as a guide. We had a fantastic time and Ronny always offered us options when we felt parts of the hike would be too much for us. We are both deaf and felt well looked after. Ronny always made sure we were fully informed of the next stage of the journey by writing things down on his phone for us. We had the most amazing time despite being about 40 years older than the rest of the group!

The trek was amazing, and our guide, Owen, was incredible. He always brought great energy and took excellent care of all of us. He told us about his culture and history, and he made us feel like family. I would recommend this trek to anyone who wants the experience of a lifetime.

Did the 5 day Salkantay trek and it was absolutely incredible. The experience was made even better by the amazing guidance from Owen. Huge shout out to the chef who cooked amazing food for every meal and of course the horseman who ensured our luggage arrived safely everyday. There are many companies to choose from, but choose this one!!!

I recently completed the Salkantay Trek 4D/3N and had an amazing experience. The entire trek was very well organized, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

What really made the trip special were our guides, Abel and Franco. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and positive attitude added so much to the experience. They were always helpful, supportive, and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and motivated throughout the trek. I am truly grateful for this experience and for the effort they put into making it memorable.

The only point I would mention is the transportation back to Cusco. Unfortunately, the organization on the transport company’s side was quite chaotic. Our shuttle arrived more than an hour late, and the woman responsible for coordinating the buses was rather unfriendly. However, I want to emphasize that this was not the fault of the Machu Picchu team. They had correctly communicated all the necessary information to the transport company, but it seemed that the transport staff were overwhelmed by the situation.

Overall, this was an incredible adventure, and I would highly recommend the Salkantay Trek. Thank you to Abel, Franco, and the entire team for such a wonderful experience!

The Machu Picchu team offer the best Salkantay trek experience. The 4 day trek was one of the most incredible experiences and so thoroughly planned out and executed. Our guide Abel was simply the best, not only very knowledgeable, but also great fun and up for a laugh also. Franko was also amazing, full of insights along the whole trek and they both made it a very enjoyable time.
Abel made sure everyone was feeling well along the way and ensured they were given everything to accommodate their needs the entire 4 days.
Can’t recommend enough and if you’re looking for a life changing experience, these are your guys.
