From the introduction prior to starting to finishing my trek, Alexis / Nachito and everyone at Machu Picchu Team has been incredible. Regardless of skill / fitness levels you will be able to do this trek because of the amazing support you will receive from your tour guides and the group you will be in. Alexis in particular was outstanding at keeping us positive and not giving up I could not be more thankful for this experience. I am writing this even before reaching Machu Picchu because this review deserves to be recognised by everyone. The people you meet throughout this experience will end up being a little family by the end.

The food is amazing with large portion sizes to keep your energy up, with lots of carbohydrates, proteins and vegetables. All of the accommodations provided for the 4 days are clean, cozy and access beautiful star-line views which after a long day is always worth it.

A big thank you to everyone at Machu Picchu Teams and Alexis once again. Sexy Nachitos forever!

Wir haben den Salkantay trek für 5 Tage gemacht, und hatten eine großartige Zeit! Alles war vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag super organisiert. Man bekam alle Informationen, die man brauchte. Die Strecke ist wunderschön! Unser Tourguide Omar war sehr professionell und konnte uns unfassbar viel über die Natur und die Kultur erzählen. Aber er war auch total sympathisch, es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht, mit ihm diese Tour zu machen. Absolut empfehlenswert!!

Ich habe den 5D Salkantay Trek mit Frank Omar gemacht und kann es absolut nur weiterempfehlen. Die komplette Organisation verlief einwandfrei und man wird sehr gut von den Mitarbeitenden betreut. Die Unterkünfte waren viel besser als ich dachte und das Essen war unfassbar lecker (auch für Vegetarier gab es immer extra Mahlzeiten, damit alle satt wurden). Unser Guide Omar ist unfassbar sympathisch und kennt sich sehr gut in der Umgebung aus. Er kann einem viel über die Geschichte und die Flora und Fauna auf dem Weg erklären. Er hat immer darauf geachtet, dass es allen gut geht und niemand zurückgelassen wird. Ein sehr toller Guide!

We did a 5-day trek with Marco Antonio, an exceptional guide. Always motivating, patient, and funny, he made this experience even more incredible. He taught us so many fascinating things about Inca culture and shared his passion throughout the trip. We wholeheartedly recommend Marco Antonio!

I did the Salkantay trek (4N/5D) with Machu Picchu Team and it was incredible. Besides the unbelievable scenery we stayed in brilliant accommodation, were treated to delicious food, and were looked after impeccably. A special shoutout has to go to our guide Edgar, who was exceptional from start to finish. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, had brilliant knowledge and insights and constantly put a smile on our faces. He always looked out for us, lifted morale when we were tired, and taught us so much - the trip wouldn’t have been the same without him. Overall everything was so well organised and a highlight of our trip so far!!!
