Had a great experience during the 5day, 4 night Salkantay trek and everything was well taken care of.
The food (breakfast, lunch and diner) was very good (you'll never be hungry, that's for sure). The guides (Victor and Ronaldo) were really funny and the horserider (Antonio) and cooks did make the experience amazing.

Had a fantastic experience with Machu Picchu Team. The food, accommodation, and organisation was all perfect. Our guides Ronalditho and Victor were really knowledgeable, funny, and helpful, making the experience even better. The chefs Aberlado and Francisco made incredible food 3 times a day for us, everything was awesome. The horsemen Antonio was very helpful organising the bags and made sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks again guys, fantastic trip.

Provided an amazing experience, everything was reliable and safe and made better by our brilliant tour guide Juan Oros. He kept everything positive with his infectious smile and and gave us lots of great information about the Salkantay trail, Macchu and Picchu and his country.

We just completed the Salkantay Trek, and I truly can’t thank Marco Antonio enough for making this experience so unforgettable. From the very beginning, he made us feel safe, motivated, and completely taken care of every step of the way. His positivity, patience, and constant encouragement helped us push through the difficult moments while still enjoying every second of the adventure.

Marco was not only incredibly professional and organized, but also genuinely kind and passionate about sharing the beauty and culture of Peru with us. He always checked in to make sure everyone was feeling okay, kept the group’s energy high, and somehow made even the toughest parts of the trek feel rewarding and fun.

The entire journey was beyond what we expected, and a huge part of that was thanks to him and the amazing team supporting us along the way.

Just finishes the Salkantay Trek with Marco as guide and it was amazing!! He was incredibly knowledgeable about flora/fauna, inka history and culture, as well as about other cultures. The hike was the right mix between challenging and fun, and the staff (Marco, the cooks, and the muleneers) made it a seamless trip with delicious food. I like the group I was in, and Marco always knew exactly where to go so we were able to avoid crowds and take some great pictures! Truly an unforgettable experience.

The only feedback I have is for the company itself, I wish they would take more responsibility for the payment of the people involved in the tour (such as the coffee experience), as right now that burden/responsibility is put primarily on the tourists, and seeing how expensive the tour is I believe it would be a good move for the company to divide the costs of the tour more evenly.

My partner and I just completed the Salkantay Trek 5D/4N with Machu Picchu Team. We had such an amazing experience thanks to our tour guide Marco who was super knowledgeable, really funny and spoke exceptional english !! The food was good too - no issues there !!

I did the 5D/4N Salkantay trek with my partner and friends.
This is the second time I have done this trek. It was definitely superior to my previous experience.

Nacho (Alexis) was our guide.
Despite having hiked and climbed at altitude previously and having acclimatised for over a week, I developed moderate altitude sickness. Nacho ensured I was safe and got down the mountain. He carried my bag for me, he went above and beyond to make sure I was safe.

The food was great, the guiding and explanations were amazing.

Obviously based on the recent reviews this company is both new and has had some recent issues with name and ownership change which is unfortunate.

We did not experience any difficulty with the trip. From booking to knowing the itinerary we were more than impressed.

I have read some reviews about this company saying guides, cooks and horseman aren’t paid properly. I’m not sure how someone would validate that information but the people I asked said they were paid a fair wage.

Furthermore, travelling from a country more wealthy than Peru and complaining about tipping what is a trivial amount (which many people here in the comments and in life do) reflects peoples inability to recognise their privilege.

I would do this hike again with this company.

From day one, we were welcomed with a briefing and the chance to meet our fellow group members straight away, which set the tone for an unforgettable experience.

The quality of the tour was outstanding in every aspect. The food was incredible throughout with delicious local breakfasts, lunches, and dinners every day. There were also so many thoughtful extra touches that made the trip feel really special, from the coffee tour and stargazing in the glass domes to face paint before entering the jungle. These were things we didn’t expect, but they added so much to the overall experience.

We originally booked this tour because the price was so reasonable, but we ended up with an experience better than we ever could have imagined. Everything was extremely well organised, with clear daily briefings and early starts that helped us make the most of the hikes before the heat kicked in.

Over the five days, we made genuine friendships with people from all over the world. We bonded through activities like zip lining and relaxing together in the hot springs after long days of hiking.

A special thank you has to go to our guide, Nachito, who truly made this journey unforgettable. He kept us laughing, motivated, and constantly reminded us to appreciate every moment of the experience. He was full of fascinating knowledge, incredibly passionate about what he does, and genuinely one of the nicest people you could meet. He looked after us every step of the way, even carrying bags when we were exhausted and keeping the “Princessas 👸🏼” going when our energy was low.
Nachito didn’t just guide us through Machu Picchu, he helped us appreciate the importance of living in the moment and making the most of experiences like this. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better trip overall. Highly recommended.
