Best experience ever!!! Owen was the best guide!! Had an amazing time!!

Beautiful landscapes, great dinners, unique places to sleep, and an amazing group of people made this 5-day trek an unforgettable experience. Vlad 'The Mountain King' guided us through the mountains with so much energy and passion. It was truly a journey we will cherish in our hearts forever.

Desde el primer momento nos transmitió toda su energía y su pasión por el trekking Salkantay, por la naturaleza, la historia y la cultura de la zona. Logró crear un ambiente muy familiar y de equipo desde el inicio del viaje.

Siempre nos daba información completa, clara y útil. El briefing en la agencia la noche anterior fue muy organizado, y además cada noche después de la cena hacía una reunión para explicarnos el programa del día siguiente y resolver cualquier duda.

Durante las jornadas de trekking dejaba que cada persona caminara a su propio ritmo, organizando puntos de encuentro donde nos explicaba la historia, la naturaleza y las tradiciones del lugar. Siempre caminaba al final del grupo para asegurarse de que nadie se quedara atrás y no dudaba en ayudar y apoyar a las personas que iban más despacio.

Owen fue una guía excepcional en todos los sentidos. En el Salkantay Pass compartimos con él una ofrenda y un ritual típico para dejar atrás las malas energías: fue un momento realmente especial y emocionante. Además, su inglés es perfecto y siempre encontraba soluciones para cualquier problema o necesidad.

La comida fue excelente durante todo el trekking, siempre deliciosa y abundante. Los alojamientos también fueron muy bonitos. Las primeras dos noches hace bastante frío por la altitud, pero los sacos de dormir proporcionados mantienen muy bien el calor.

Una experiencia increíble que recomiendo totalmente! Recomiendo la agencia Machu Picchu Team, pero sobre todo recomiendo a Owen como guía. Gracias por todo!

We did the 4 day 3 night Salkantay trek and our guide Omar was incredible. He was kind and caring the entire journey making sure everyone was okay with pace and altitude. When we had issues with altitude sickness he instantly provided help and alternative options. The views across the trek are amazing and Omar always let us to stop for lots of pictures and told us great information. The food and accommodations provided by the company are lovely, very clean and great views again (make sure to bring lots of layers for the first night). Thanks to Omar again for making the experience so special it is one I won’t forget!!!!

We had an amazing experience with our guide Owen! He brought such good vibes to the group and made the whole adventure fun, smooth, and unforgettable.

He shared a lot about his culture and traditions with us, including a beautiful offering ceremony that we all did together. His instructions were always clear, and he was encouraging, organized, and attentive to everyone throughout the trek.

We also ate incredibly well during the whole trip, so a big thank you to the chef for the delicious meals!

Highly recommend Owen and the whole team for an authentic and memorable experience!
