I did the 4D/3N with our tour guide Genrri. He was zo kind, funny and his heart is with pachamama, what makes him even more passionate about the trek. The food was great and the accommodations were good. I had the best time and the organisation fixed everything for you.

Had a wonderful experience with the 5day Salkantay Trek! Wonderful hikes, beautiful scenery and delicious food! Ronaldo was a wonderful and caring guide who took us along the way!! Definitely would recommend!

Had a really great experience with Ronnie!! He had great knowledge and made the trip super fun. Also recommend the Machu Picchu team, everything was really well organised and made the trip stress free!

The 4 day/3night Salkantay tour was a really good experience. I really enjoyed the food prepared by Angel, Marco Antonio, and Geronimo. I also appreciated the help provided by tour guide Genrri, he is a good hiker and a funny guy. The only problem was that sometimes we had to transport our duffels at the end of the day without notice and I would’ve preferred to know about that beforehand in the tour description- also there was some confusion about sleeping bags going in the duffel versus staying outside so some people weren’t able to pack enough clothing and personal items.

Completing the 5-day Salkantay Trek was one of the most unforgettable experiences my friends and I have ever had, and so much of that was because of this incredible team. From the very beginning, we felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. Hans was the perfect guide for this trek, as he is encouraging, knowledgeable, and so understanding of everyone’s pace. At no point did we feel rushed, and he made the experience feel so personal by constantly sharing stories, history, and information about the mountains and surrounding areas. He somehow made even the hardest parts of the hike feel manageable. One of the biggest highlights every day was the food. Wilfredo and his team went above and beyond for every meal. We were honestly shocked by the quality and amount of food we had while trekking through the mountains from warm meals, snacks, tea, and always more than enough to keep us going through long days of hiking! One of my all time fave meals was the pasta!! Huge thank you as well to Michele and the cowboys, who worked so hard behind the scenes carrying our duffel bags! Being able to just focus on the trek itself without worrying about logistics made such a difference. This experience challenged me physically, but this team made it feel comfortable, safe, and so rewarding. I am forever grateful for this experience :)

Had the best time ever on this hike.
My guide (Hans) was the best, always informed everyone of the history around us and kept everyone engaged and having fun. Made jokes and hung out with the group, was the best guide.
Wilfredo’s and his teams meals were always fantastic, were perfect for the hikes and way above what I would have expected for food along the hike.
The porters carrying our bags never forgot anything. Our bags were always at our destination with nobody having any damage or issues with any of it.
Overall an amazing experience, which is definitely elevated by the guides and people that help bring it all together at Machu Picchu team. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

I completed the Salkantay Trek (5 days and 4 nights) with Machu Picchu Team, and the experience was absolutely amazing. We had a whole dedicated team at our disposal, composed of cooks, horse porters, and of course two fabulous guides, Nachito and Erwin. We were a small group, which allowed for great interactions between participants. Having guides made all the difference in my opinion: they carefully checked that we kept the pace, allowed us additional breaks when needed, encouraged us along the way, and shared fascinating anecdotes about the flora, fauna, Inca culture, and much more. They also provided us with delicious Peruvian food and made sure we arrived at the best times to enjoy the most stunning views at each spot. Yes, it is a physically challenging experience, but I would love to do it again, especially in such great company. Thank you again, Nachito and Erwin!
