I had such an incredible time on the Salkantay Trek 5D 4N. My tour guides Carlos and Omar were so accommodating, kind, and truly made this experience so special. Carlos taught myself and the group so much about the history, culture, environment, and cuisine and made my time on the trip so amazing. Highly Recommend!

I did the 5 day 4 night Salkantay trek with Carlos and Omar from Machu Picchu Team and I can not say enough kind words about the experience. Firstly, the trek is beautiful, but challenging. Carlos and Omar were encouraging and kept everyone’s spirits high. They educated us about the trail along the way and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time through out the entire trip. There was plenty of delicious food and coca tea, the accommodations were impressive for the remote areas, and our guides made sure to give reminders on where we can buy supplies and where toilets would be available. They were willing to help in any way possible. There was even a guest who had their birthday during the trek and within a days notice Carlos organized for the chefs to wake up at 3 in the morning to make him a pancake birthday cake for breakfast. They truly went above and beyond! I have been traveling South America for 2 months now and this is without a doubt the most special experience I’ve had!

A few days ago, I’ve completed the 5-day Salkantay Trek with this company.
Heartfelt thanks to the Machu Picchu Team for ensuring our safety, sharing fascinating stories, and introducing us to the beautiful Inca culture. Special thanks to our guides—Zucemo and Ronn—who demonstrated immense professionalism and made our 5-day expedition an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Also a big round of applause to our head chef, Willy, who ensured that we were served a variety of delicious meals every single day (they offer a veggie option too).
I highly recommend choosing the 5-day Salkantay Trek option; on the third day, participants have the opportunity to visit the Hot Springs and go zip-lining amidst breathtaking scenery (there is an additional fee for these attractions). The team offers rentals for trekking poles and sleeping bags, as well as a duffel bag for packing up to 5 kg of personal gear. The trek is physically demanding, and weather conditions can be unpredictable; however, the Machu Picchu Team provided top-notch care and support for the group, regardless of the participants' physical fitness levels. I sincerely recommend taking on this challenge—it is sure to be an unforgettable adventure.

Had a fantastic 5-day trip on the Salkantay trek. Marco Antonio was an excellent guide and always kept things fun and positive, even in challenging weather. Marco also shared a lot of interesting facts about the Incas and their history. Food was great and plentiful, so we never went hungry. Highly recommend!

I booked this team for the Salkantay trek 5D-4N and it was amazing. They provide housing, 3 meals, transportation and two guides. Max and Nestor were truly great and I could not have asked for a better team to go with! It was nice there was more autonomy with the pace and provided so many cool facts about the area and the natural environment. I would 1000% rebook again with them and had the best guides :)
