Had an amazing hike with our friends. Perfect accommodations, delicious food, hard hike but is was worth it

We did the 5 day Salkantay trek and Owen was our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the region and Incan history, all questions were answered with great enthusiasm and there was never a dull moment. I enjoyed learning more about Incan culture and the ceremony we performed on top of Salkantay pass was my favorite moment. Could not recommend more!!!

It was a fantastic experience to make this 5 days trekking experience with Macchu Picchu team. The trekking itself is demanding and requires you to be acclimatized, but if you are fit and you spent a few days at altitude you will enjoy it a lot and you will be able to make it through. A special shout out to our guide Alexis(Nacho) who was able to always make us have fun whilst being disciplined and on time. We got a bit unlucky with the weather on the second day during our ascent to the Salkantay Pass where we got almost zero visibility all day, yet Alexis was able to keep up our spirits and make us enjoy even in such hard conditions. The following days we got luckier and the hot springs and zip line activities are highly recommended to have some fun on top of the good views you will get while trekking. I also want to say that the Macchu Picchu team has it all organized to perfection, the porters always arrive on time with your stuff well preserved so you only have to carry essentials, the chefs cook for you amazing food every meal and the accommodations are not only comfortable but also highly scenographic. Super recommended to book with Macchu Picchu team if you are looking to have a great Salkantay Trail experience.

The 5-Day Salkantay Trek with the Machu Picchu team was fantastic. They take care of every detail, allowing you to focus fully on enjoying the beautiful nature and your fellow travelers.

Steven, our lead guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, as well as extremely funny. He made the trip memorable from start to finish.

Alicia, our assistant guide, was helpful and patient as well, always making sure we had everything we needed.

The cooks made food along the journey that I would not have thought possible on such a trek. The meals they created were not only nourishing and delicious, but also served as opportunities for a convivial gathering for the group three times each day.

The porter handled bag logistics seamlessly.

This was quite simply the best outdoor tour experience I’ve had in 30 years of travel.

We did the Huchuy Qosqo day tour with Juan Rodrigo as our guide.

Since the place is a real hidden gem, we were alone on the tour and had a super day!

The transport went smoothly and Juan Rodrigo accommodated all our requests during the tour (breaks, pace, etc.)!

Very good experience! We want to especially highlight our guide Stik, who was by far the best part of the tour. He was always very kind, attentive, and responsible, and he looked after us at all times.
The only negative thing was the organization by the agency, since they changed several things in the itinerary, which was a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, Stik was always willing to help us and find a solution as quickly as possible, making it so that we could finally enjoy the experience a lot.

Milton was a superb guide for Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley, expertly accommodating the needs of everyone within the group and passionately sharing interesting information about the sites. Highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Cusco, you’ll be lucky to have him as a guide!

This Salkantay trek has been life changing. Every day was mind opening and expanding and pure joy!
Accommodation was beautiful, food was genuinely some of the best food I've had in Peru and our guide. Well. Our guide Steven was one of the highlights! Warm, friendly and so knowledgeable. His positive attitude and sense of humour helped ease the group into the trek and melt the ice of introductions etc. He is worth his weight in gold. Our other guide Alicia was so patient and friendly as well and stayed back with the slower walkers so that no one would be forgotten or left behind! She was amazing!

Some of the days were challenging but every step is so worth it. Machu Picchu team are one of the more affordable companies but their services are awesome. I highly recommend them! Especially Steven!

We had a fabulous time doing the 5 day Salkantay trek. Our guide Steven was organised, knowledgeable and kept the group’s motivation high even during some of the toughest ascents.

The trek itself was spectacular, I can’t believe we saw and did so much in just 5 days. The zip line is a must!
