Spending five days hiking the Salkantay route to Machu Picchu with 11 of my closest friends was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. From start to finish, the trip was equal parts breathtakingly beautiful and deeply bonding. A huge part of what made this trip so incredible was our guides, Owen and Elisbon. They were truly the best! Very knowledgeable, supportive, and always bringing great energy to the group. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt safe, motivated, and included. More than just guides, they made us feel like family, and that meant a lot, especially during the tougher moments of the trek.

I went with a group of friends on the 5 day Salkantay trek recently and soon into the trip I knew that this was going to be a life changing experience. Machu Picchu Teams were a great group of people that had a lot of experience with a great deal of knowledge and information about the local people, their history and culture. Good sleeping arrangements, food and smaller excursions that made the trip fresh and enjoyable. A special shout out to our tour guides - Owen and Elesbaan -who made this journey unforgettable with their high energy and positive attitudes. Overall my friends and I had a great time and would recommend to all!

Had a wonderful time on the Salkantay Trek with Owen. He was a great tour guide and made us feel very welcome and the trip a lot of fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hiking/adventure trip.

This trip was amazing. The food was really good, communication/booking was easy, and the service was great. We had Owen and Elisbon as our guides and they were awesome. They made an already amazing trip 10x better. I would highly recommend booking through Machu Picchu Team!

Did the 5 day Salkantay trek with Pedro Alonso and Victor as guides. So sweet, funny and two really informative guides. I enjoyed every bit of the whole tour, it was so good!

Rene and Victor were the best Tour guides you can hope for. We had a very good group to hike with and they managed the different paces of every hiker and had very good explanations and knowledge. Would book again

I did the 5D-4N Salkantay trek and it probably was my best experience in South America so far ! Thanks to our guides Carlos and Omar, we had the best time walking up the mountains and down the jungle, until reaching Machu Picchu. It was challenging in a good way, the views were breathtaking and we had so much fun. It was also very instructive as Carlos and Omar shared their knowledge along the way, and most of all, they really took care of us. + the food was really good so I could only recommend this experience :)

Ran this Trek with 5 other friends and it was worth every penny! My opinion of early mornings and long walks have changed positively because of these 5 days. For this I want to thank our guides Carlos and Frankie very much. During the walks, many educational things were told about everything and everything. They were always positive and took into account the walkers from our group. I also want to thank the chefs super much for taking care of our group. In the mornings you were woken up with a delicious tea in bed and then you could enjoy a rich breakfast. Lunch and dinner was never disappointing either, it was delicious every time and spacious enough for everyone. I experienced an unforgettable time and definitely recommend this Trek to everyone! Again I thank the whole team for the hospitality!

I am gluten-free and they fixed good gluten-free food for me. We had the best guide Carlos! Overall very worth my money

I had such an incredible time on the Salkantay Trek 5D 4N. My tour guides Carlos and Omar were so accommodating, kind, and truly made this experience so special. Carlos taught myself and the group so much about the history, culture, environment, and cuisine and made my time on the trip so amazing. Highly Recommend!
