Incredible experience!! The scenery was absolutely amazing, the accommodations were great, and the food was so good, freshly cooked three times a day with lots of variety.

Our guides, Vlad and Eduardo, kept us motivated the whole way, taught us so much about the local culture and history, and always had a funny joke or story to keep us laughing.
They were in a great mood the entire trek, while always making sure everyone felt safe and supported. Couldn’t have asked for better guides. Highly recommend!

Unforgettable Salkantay Trek with Machu Picchu Teams!

If you are thinking about doing the Salkantay Trek, do yourself a favor and book with Machu Picchu Teams! We had the absolute best experience from start to finish.

The scenery was incredible, but what truly made this trip unforgettable was our amazing guiding team, Vlad and Eduardo. They were an absolute 10/10!

Eduardo was so genuine, sweet, and constantly made sure everyone was comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout the trek.

Vlad kept our spirits high the entire way with his hilarious stories and great energy.

They balanced professionalism, safety, and sheer fun effortlessly. We laughed so much along the trail, and their energy turned what could have been a tough hike into an absolute blast.

This was hands down the best week of my life. Machu Picchu team has great staff, food and chefs, and the route is beautiful. I did the Salkantay 6 day 5 night trek and it was perfect amount of time. My group was so fun and between the ages of 20-25 for the most part. We had a good pace and we also took lots of fun/history breaks. My guide Vlad was so knowledgeable, positive, and overall great energy. He was hilarious, kept the mood light, and has been on trail for 11 years so he knew a ton of history and cool stories. We got high alpine views and jungle days as well. We stayed in star domes and jungle huts. Then finished with a bang at Machu Picchu. It is the perfect mix of adventure on your own and with a tour company/group. I highly recommend this company and trek to anyone! Some of my photos below:

I can’t recommend Machu Picchu Team enough. The entire experience was incredible, from the breathtaking mountain scenery to the Amazon trails, every day was unique and unforgettable.

The accommodations were comfortable with outstanding star views, the food was outstanding with plenty of variety, and the group atmosphere made it easy to meet amazing people along the way.

The biggest highlight, however, was our guides, Vlad and Eduardo. Their experience as climbers made me feel safe throughout the trek, and their passion for the Andes, Inca culture, and the spiritual history of the region added so much depth to the experience. Their knowledge and enthusiasm truly made this more than just a hike experience.

If you’re looking for an adventure you’ll never forget, this is it!

Ik heb de laatste 1,5 dag van de Salkentay gedaan met onze gids Jean Pierre. Hij is een hele fijne vriendelijke enthousiaste en slimme jongen. En hij ziet mensen echt hoe ze zijn. En hij maakt prachtige foto’s! We zullen hem nooit vergeten en ik wens hem en de organisatie het allerbeste!
