We did the Inca Jungle Trail with Machu Picchu Team and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was very well organised! You get to sleep in nice accommodations, especially the second night. We slept in a glass dome and could look at the stars. Truly an amazing experience!

Besides the nice accommodations you get three meals everyday. These meals are big, and if you fancy more you can just ask for more. The people are happy to give you more. You get very well taken care off. You do not have to think about anything.

The guides are very experienced and know a lot about Inca history and the trail. They’ll happily answer all your questions. We very much liked the variety in activities. From mountainbiking to rafting to ziplining to relaxing in hot springs. All that in combination very beautiful hiking.

This was the highlight of our trip through Peru!

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed the 4 day Inca Jungle Trail. We learned a lot about Inca history and traditions. We didn’t want to hike the whole way, so this way of doing the trail was perfect for us. We loved the change in activities and I would highly recommend this tour if you also don’t want 4 full days of hiking. Aurelio was an amazing tour guide with a lot of information to share. We had a great time, muchas gracias!

expérience incroyable! J’ai fait la salkantay trek de 5D/4N. Merci à notre guide Marco Antonio, grâce à qui cette expérience fut inoubliable. Il nous a appris pleins de choses très intéressantes sur la nature, les croyances, les incas et les lieux qui nous entouraient. Fort sympathique, authentique et il s’assurait toujours que chaque personne du groupe se sente bien et soit en santé.

We did the 5 day Salkantay Trek and had an amazing time. Our guide was super lovely - great English and knowledge and very accommodating when needed. Only thing to note is to bring more cash than you think!
We were told S/150 should be enough, but you’ll be expected to pay S/10 for the horsemen and each of the chefs as tips, as well as the guide at the end of the trip. You also have to pay in cash for Humantay Lake access, hot springs access and you will not be provided with any water at any point by the accommodation so must purchase from stalls along the trek (average prices between S/8 to S/15 for 1 litre). We also only received snacks on Day 2 but you’ll need the energy for the long days, so either bring extra snacks in your duffel or be prepared to buy on the trek. And bring toilet paper!!
Also worth noting you can get a horse up the Salkantay Pass if you’re struggling with the altitude and that’s S/120 per person…so the S/150 recommendation is quickly depleted!
Overall, really recommend this company, but just make sure you’re prepared for the extra expenses along the way with spare cash :)

Notre guide Max était une personne formidable. En plus de sa gentillesse et de sa bonne humeur, ses explications historiques et culturelles étaient géniales.

La cuisine du chef Jesus était également très bonne. C’est fou de réussir à cuisiner pour autant de personnes avec si peu de matériel et de sommeil.

Le rapport qualité/prix, comparé à d’autres agences, est vraiment top. Il faut payer certaines choses pendant le trek, mais tout est très clair et bien expliqué par toute l’équipe.

This was the most incredible 5 days. Owen was the best tour guide ever. Everything about the Salkantay 5 day trek was just perfect. This tour is so well done and the group and tour guide Owen made this the most special experience!

The entire experience with Machu Picchu Team was incredible from beginning to end. I did the 5 day Salkantay trek traveling solo, and I was nervous that being alone would take away from the experience. What actually happened was the exact opposite! My group of 10 meshed immediately, and it was in large part due to our incredible guide Owen. Owen is knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and encouraging all at once, making him easily the best tour guide I’ve ever had (for anything!). He has a special gift of connecting with everyone he meets, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for the trip of a lifetime. I hope to take future tours through Peru with Owen!

The accommodations, food, and service were top of class. The entire Machu Picchu team that made this trek possible were professional, kind, helpful, and hilarious. I made lifelong friends on this trek, and I think anyone would have the same experience as myself. I would give 6 stars if I could!

I can’t put into words how amazing this tour was from start to finish. Owen was the best tour guide, everything was faultless. He not only guided us through some tough days but taught us about inca traditions which was so special. The food amazing, the accommodation great. Highly recommend!
