He looked after our group of nine throughout the five-day Salkantay trek, making sure everyone felt comfortable, supported, and included every step of the way. His passion for the region, positive attitude, and encouragement made the experience even more memorable. Keep up the amazing work, and thank you for inspiring future travellers!!

My bestie and I just completed the 5 day Salkantay trek with Machu Picchu Team, and I couldn’t speak higher of the experience! The hike was grueling, however, the staff that went with us made all the difference. Edgar, our guide, is the GOAT. His knowledge of the mountains is both inspirational and impressive. He kept us motivated during the challenging treks and had amazing information/ stories to share. I’d honestly trust him with my life. The food was incredible and I don’t think I would have survived the trek without the food waiting for me at the end. The chefs are incredibly talented and I was blown away by the dishes that they had somehow created at 13,000 feet in the mountains. Special shout out to the people who help carry all the overnight bags to each campsite, that made our lives so much easier! Overall, if my feet didn’t hurt so bad right now I’d literally do it again tomorrow. 10/10 recommend.

My experience trekking with Machu Picchu teams was one of my highlights of my three months of travel. Edgar was the most wonderful guide. He was so knowledgable and encouraging and we all enjoyed every minute of the time together. Thank you so much. I could not recommend Machu Picchu teams more. Also the food was absolutely amazing. So filling and so tasty.

Von der Beratung vorher übers Trekken bis hin zur Rückkehr hab ich mich super begleitet, ernst genommen bei Fragen und Problemen und immer sicher gefühlt! Danke ans gesamte Team, vor allem Steven mit seiner freundlichen, stets bemühten und geduldigen Art, sein Wissen was er mit uns geteilt hat, und auch an das Kochteam, was uns stets mit köstlichen und toll angerichteten Platten erwartet hat!

I felt safe throughout the entire journey thanks to the excellent care and professionalism of the guides. I also want to recognize the amazing work of the cook and the muleteers, who made this adventure even more memorable.
