The Salkantay Trail is challenging but incredibly rewarding, offering an excellent way to experience a stunning natural environment and a wide variety of terrain. I would recommend it primarily to people with hiking experience who are properly acclimatized.

The trip was very well planned, with excellent food and experienced guides who had extensive knowledge of the local history and strong guiding skills. The main area for improvement would be providing more detailed information about expected weather conditions so participants can prepare appropriately.

Be prepared for a wide range of conditions, from snow and below-freezing temperatures in the mountains to hot, humid weather in the rainforest. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Salkantay Trail, provided you are physically prepared and equipped for changing and sometimes extreme weather conditions.

We had an awesome trip with Omar. With ups and downs, snow rain or sun he was there to push us through it al. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun

Everything went incredibly well! This tour is perfect if you don’t have enough time to do the 4-5 day trek, as you still get the full splendour of Salkantay and Humantay. The value for money is great, as the accomodation was memorable, each meal was diverse and complete, and our incredible guide Gabriel matched our energy perfectly. He was relentless in motivating us, helping us along the way, sharing the best insights into Andean culture, and being entertaining the whole way. Fully recommend this!

We had an exciting time under difficult weather conditions, but the guides Eric and Stiven always led us safely through the trek. The nature is breathtaking and the views are unique. A trek I will not forget!

Really nice! The views were not so nice because of the weather but the staff was very nice and arranged everything we needed. If you have Steven or Eric as your guides you can be sure you will have a good trip!

The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was a wonderful experience. Our guide Genrri led us along the path and explained to us in detail all the most interesting stories about the Incas and Machu Picchu. An experience recommended to everyone to do once in a lifetime.

Absolutely recommended experience; our guide Genrry was very patient and accompanied us for 2 full days, also respecting our time to take photos and admire the view.

If I can suggest something to improve, I would give more instructions on travel (bus and train) to reach the site, given that this is done independently.

I would highly recommend booking with The Machu Picchu Team if you’re planning a visit to Machu Picchu! We decided to do the Inca Jungle Trail, and it was an absolute blast from start to finish.

Our tour guide, Ernesto, was genuinely fantastic. I honestly can’t say a single bad word about him. He was incredibly accommodating, friendly and humorous, and made sure we were fully informed about the itinerary beforehand. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience.

Throughout the entire trip, we felt completely safe and very well looked after by the whole team, and especially Ernesto. He made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable.
