Did the 4 night / 5 day trek as a couple to machu picchu

It was perfect, our guide Juancho Escalante was 5*! A man coming from the Highlands himself was definitely the perfect guide!
The food was amazing, Yoel fed us like kings, the mango cevice was to die for
Walter, the "Horseman" was also very effectient, our bags/sleeping bags were always well kept and dry, ready to unpack as we arrived

All in all, no faults, would 1000% recommend

Just completed the 5 day Salkantay trek with Machu Picchu Team. It was beyond an incredible experience. Each day was a new adventure with countless breathtaking landscapes.
Thanks to our amazing guides Amoroso and Victor for sharing so much knowledge and making the experience exceeded all expectations.
The food was incredible each day, so fresh and with so much variety.

We’ve just completed the 4-day Salkantay Trek, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The organization was excellent throughout the entire trip, with everything running smoothly and efficiently. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and always encouraging.

We were genuinely impressed by the quality, variety, and freshness of every meal, especially considering the remote mountain locations. The chefs did an incredible job keeping us well-fed and energised for each day’s hike.

The scenery along the Salkantay route was breathtaking, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to the entire team for their hard work, care, and attention to detail. We would highly recommend this trek to anyone visiting Peru and looking for an unforgettable adventure!

Our experience doing the salkantay trek with Machu Picchu teams was incredible! Alexis our guide was the most knowledgeable, hospitable, friendly, and enjoyable tour guide! We also gained another great guide Jet Lee on day 2, also an amazing addition!
The food throughout was well above expectations, fresh, healthy and delicious - not to mention all of the comforting warm teas made with local ingredients. We recently completed the 5D4N Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu with Machu Picchu Team, and our guide Juan was absolutely fantastic.

From start to finish, Juan was knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about the history, culture, and nature of the region. He shared so many interesting facts throughout the trek, making the experience much more meaningful and engaging.
