After doing the 5 day Salkantay Trek, I’d highly recommend going with Machu Picchu Team. I thoroughly enjoyed my time during these 5 days (even when my legs felt like they were about to stop working). Our guide Alexis was very very good, giving great insight into the culture behind the tour and constantly reiterating that the idea of having fun despite its challenging nature. The food was delicious, and the accommodation was very comfortable and clean. I’d like to once again thank all the kitchen staff, horsemen, and again, our guide Alexis for all their hard work and hospitality throughout these 5 days.
Me and my friends have just come back from the 5D/4N Salkantay trek with Machu Picchu Teams and this was the most incredible experience.
During the trip, they provided comfortable accommodation, a huge variety of food and made sure everyone was having fun at all times. We also had such a lovely group and met amazing people. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for the delicious food everyday, the horse men for transporting all of our stuff between camps and to our guide, Alexis, who was exceptional.
On the 4th day of the trek in particular I was really struggling but our guide, Alexis, kept me going. I really believe I got through this day because of his help and motivation.
The Salkantay trek was incredible and all because of Machu Picchu Teams. They have given us memories for life and I will be forever grateful. I would 100% recommend Machu Picchu teams to anyone!

Could not recommend Ronaldito and the Maccu Piccu Team enough, the guides were well humoured and motivational and the accommodation and food was great.

The organization was excellent from the very beginning. Super clear from the start and always open for clearing up any unclarities. The food was very good, always varied and delicious and far beyond my expectations for a mountain trek.

Jag åkte på 5-dagars Salkantay-vandringen, det var en fantastisk upplevelse. Guiderna Ronalditho och Victor var mycket uppmärksamma och väldigt humoristiska, de gjorde hela upplevelsen mycket bättre! Personalen som ansvarade för maten - Abelardo och Francisco - och transporten av bagaget - Antonio - var också utmärkta. Jag rekommenderar denna otroliga upplevelse och detta team till alla.
Machu Picchu teams well exceeded any expectations I had of this trek! Our guide Alexis was the best guide I have ever had. The food was absolutely unreal!!!! I highly recommend this company. They have recently had a name change and split from the company Machu Picchu ‘reservations’ and you might read about some confusion online but rest assured this company is legit and are amazing.
