We had a wonderful 3 day Salkantay Trek Tour was an awesome guide Elisbet. Our group was smaller and we were able to learn about the culture, see the beautiful landscapes. Everything was coordinated and it is evident that all of Machu Picchu Team works immensely hard to serve their guests. Blessed to have had this experience. Make sure to pack layers !
My group of friends and I were in a small group with one other person and our tour guide, elisbet for the salkantay three day trek. Quickly we became a family bonding with the people we met along the way and immersing ourselves in the culture. We learned so much about Peru and also saw the hard work and detailed coordination it takes to make these treks happen to give us a wonderful experience. I feel so grateful to have had this adventure!
TripadvisorI cannot recommend Macchu Picchu team enough! We did the 5 day Salkantay trek and it was the most incredible experience. Our guide Billy and his assistant Franco were wonderful , really patient, very knowledgeable and so passionate. The trek was tough but the guides were great at providing breaks and encouragement and advice.
The accommodation was amazing (bringing thermals for the first night definitely helped me appreciate this !) so much better and more comfortable than camping while still feeling like a legitimate trek and not hotel-hopping! The food was absolutely amazing at every meal, lots of variety and so much food that you could always eat more than your fill.
Prepare well and expect a tough trek but I don't see how you could do better than Macchu Picchu team !
