I did the Salkantay 5 day/ 4 night trek and cannot recommend it enough. This was all down to our guide Owen! From the start his positive energy was unmatched. He made everyone feel super comfortable and therefore made it easier for everyone to bond quickly and now we are one big family. Everyone was taking care of, from the amazing food prepared by the chef to even when my shoe broke on day 2, they found a solution! As well as guiding us along the route, he taught us about the Inca culture and how proud he is of it. We were all captivated during the rituals and felt honoured to be part of this experience. Thank you!

Our trek with Machu Picchu team was absolutely incredible!!! The group I was with were the most wonderful people ever. With the company itself there were no problems and everything went smoothly. The trek is beautiful and our guide Owen was phenomenal. We did rituals on top of Salkantay Pass led by Owen which were incredibly moving. I would definitely recommend to do your trek with this company. One of the best experiences of my life! Thank you Machu Picchu team and thank you Owen!

Despite the weather, the 5 days Salkantay trek met our expectations with a lot of adventures. We had the best guide ever! Juan was so patient, kind and caring. Matcha Matcha Guys !!!

Machu Picchu team does a great job of getting you where you want to go and they have wonderful knowledgable guides. Their shuttle bus drivers are insane and we had multiple near Mrs. on our way back from Machu Picchu.. literally just about ran a cube van off the road missed a head-on collision by inches and the driver was constantly swerving and they don’t even try to stay in the lane, but I think that’s normal for Peru
The actual tours once we arrived were incredible breathtaking, and very enjoyable. The places we stopped for food were good clean, and the food was fresh and delicious. We did have some confusion involving our original reservation with Machu Picchu reservations, which was the company‘s name before they went bankrupt and then they restarted as Machu Picchu team.
Unfortunately, we had paid Machu Picchu reservations and only got a partial refund
Machu Picchu team would not honour the payments we had made through we travel so please avoid we travel if you’d like to keep your money in your pocket.

I had an amazing experience doing the 4 day salkantay trek with Machu Picchu team! Our guide Carlos was the best! Very informative and helpful, they let you go at your own pace so it’s no stress. Even in the pouring rain we still managed to have a good time. The food on the tour was great and they give you lots of teas and soups to keep warm. Would definitely recommend booking with this company!
