I did Salkantay 3 Days to Machu. Doing a trek like this you really want a professional team who takes care of you and makes you feel safe. Machu Picchu Team is the most incredible team you could have. These guys are working so extremely hard and they genuinely care so much for you. They always make sure everything is taken care of. I was so lucky to have Nestor as my guide. If you want to laugh while suffering during trekking in the pouring rain, you need a Nestor. Hahahaha but he’s a speedy guy so be ready to work hard. It is so rewarding I promise. And a complete sweetie pie always checking up on you to make sure you’re doing okay. He’s also very knowledgeable and teaches you so much along the way. And if you’re lucky you can eat a flower or two (one of my favourite parts). I was also lucky enough to tag along with another group and a second guide Carlos who is equally as incredible and kind. Honestly the memories made with this group will last me a lifetime. I feel very blessed. Oh and the team also feeds you so well it’s incredible. Don’t expect luxury throughout, the conditions can be very tough but that feeling at the end is so rewarding. And the last place we stayed at was amazing. If I could leave any tips I would not make the same mistakes as me: 1. Protect absolutely everything you own from the rain. Everything will get wet and honestly with the humidity (wet season) it will not dry and you will often be cold when not hiking. 2. Don’t take the bus for the return. Just pay the extra for the train because you will be too tired after Macchu to trek another 3 hours to the bus station. And the train from Aguas Calientes to the bus is expensive anyways so it comes out to the same. But just way longer for your day! 3. GET THE TREKKING POLES! Hope anyone who reads this books with this Team and has the most amazing experience like I did! Thank you Carlos and Nestor!

Incredibly great experience with the best tour guide, Carlos!

I was on the 4 day salkantay trek, and had the best time! Everything worked out perfectly and the communication with the matchu pitcchu team was great. Our guide Carlos did an awesome job guiding us, and was such a fun guide with lots of knowledge. 5 out of 5 stars, couldn’t be happier.

We did the 4 day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu with Machu Picchu Team and I couldn't recommend them more!

Our guide, Carlos, was the best we could have asked for. He made sure the group was always looked after and kept spirits high throughout, whilst also giving us lots of information about our surroundings and the history of places we visited. He made our trip!! Nestor was amazing too, he taught us lots about all the different foliage we passed on the trek and kept the energy high.

The accommodation was simple but comfortable and our bellies were kept full morning, noon and night with tasty fresh Peruvian food.

If you are looking to do the Salkantay trek, you will be well looked after with Machu Picchu Team!

Aurelio was the best guide! He was great with insuring our health and safety with altitude and dietary restrictions and made the entire experience fun and educational. We could not recommend this experience enough. The Salkentey Trek has become a livelong memory we will forever cherish.

Fantastic 5 day /4night Salkantay Trek with guides Aurelio and Frank. Very well organized right from the start, great communication, caring, kind, tons of support along the way, lots of humour, laughs when things got hard. Big shout to the Chef Team for amazing food. Highly recommended!
Life changing experience in so many ways🌏❤️

Jimmy was an amazing guide, we had him on the 4 day jungle trek tour to Machu Picchu. He was very funny and very informative. We are all very grateful to have had him for the 4 days, he made our experience one to remember! The jungle trek itself was great - the perfect balance between activities and hiking!
