Hans was an amazing tour guide, we learned a lot and had a lot of laughs. Thank you to Jésus and his team for the delicious food. Thank you to Manuel and the others for carrying all of our bags to make our experience smooth.

What an amazing trip! Our guide Juan was exceptional, he was clear supportive and made sure to look after all of the hikers.

Would highly recommend the machu pichu team for the Salkantay Trek.

Just competed the 5 day Salkantay trek and it was unbelievable experience. Juan was our tour guide and he was informative, funny, and really made the experience unforgettable.

Very challenging experience but very rewarding as well! Our guide Steven was amazing and very patient with us and made the whole experience wonderful.

I did the 4 day Salkantay trekking with guides Aurelio & Jean-Pierre. At the start I had a lot of stress as I’m not used to doing trekkings and certainly not at this height, but Aurelio believed in me so I started believing in myself. Even though other people in the group were a lot faster than me, I was able to complete the full days at my own pace. It was also the birthday of a friend during the trip and Aurelio was so thoughtful that we had a little party during one of our « breaks » during day 3. So grateful for this experience.

My family of 5 including a 12 year old did they 4 day Inca Jungle Tour with David as our guide. We experienced a lot… the beauty of the Andes mountains, the biodiversity of the high Amazon jungle, the high altitude including the weather changes that come with it, the majesty of Machu Picchu, and power of the Urubamba river. We enjoyed biking down the mountains (even in the rain), rafting the raging river, hiking up and down the mountains, zip lining across the river, recovering in the hot springs. The food provided was good and substantial. The hostal stays were ok, nothing fancy (a lower standard of living than the US, which was to be expected).

Our guide David was great. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we always knew the schedule, how much time to the next stop and what to expect. We were never rushed… plenty of time for everything. He paced us well and you could really tell he knew the area like the back of his hand.

Be prepared for the hiking. We did at least 10 hours, some pretty steep up and down the second day, then very flat the third day. Our 12 year was able to do it all with some encouragement on the third day.

We stayed in Cusco for 2 days prior to acclimate to the altitude. Half my family did experience some elevation sickness. The coca leave tea and candies do help.

We did buy a lot of water bottles which you can purchases all long the trek. And bug spray is a must. And bring a rain poncho… you never know even in the dry season.

The part we did not enjoy much was the roads and driving. Very poor road conditions lead to some bumpy, swerving, uncomfortable rides.

But overall a very memorable trip (not vacation). Epic views, awesome experiences, amazing environment and good people.

I did the salkantay track with a group of 14 and our tourguide Hans. It was sometimes challenging, as I am not a experienced hiker, but I managed especially because of the amazing persons I met and Hans that motivated us with his jokes and knowledge along the way! But you should not underestimate him because he can go reaally fast😂 just as our horseman Manuel who made sure our bags were everywhere that we were. Also compliments to Manuel our chef he made some amazing Peruvian dishes!!

Très bonne expérience avec Machu Picchu Team pour le Salkantay Trek. L'organisation était bonne, les repas étaient copieux (même trop, ce qui est dommage pour le gaspillage). Les guides étaient très gentils et passionnés. Mention spéciale à Juan qui a été notre guide et avec qui nous avons passé de très bons moments. Malgré le fait que nous avions des billets pour le Machu Picchu plus tard que le reste du groupe, un guide de Machu Picchu Team nous attendait pour nous faire une visite guidée rien que pour nous, ça a été très appréciable.
Nous recommandons !

We did the salkantay 4 day trek and we loved it.
It was harder than we expected. Especially the low temperature during the first night and the second day were hard for us. But our guide Owen motivated us and made it an unforgettable experience. He speaks English very well, so you'll have an English explanation to everything you wanna know. He also showed us some spiritual rituals from his inka culture. Thank you Owen for making that trip unforgettable!
