I was on the salkantay trip with 4 more people and our guide Billy, was really very horny, hike and views really cool, the food: Breakfast, lunch, evening was always very cool. In the end, to machu picchu. Billy was a great guide, the cooks and horsemen who accompanied us as well.

Jimmy was absolutely superb from the start to the finish. He spoke excellent English, he was very good fun, and very informative. He always made sure we were comfortable and taken care of too. I had 4 of the best days ever - and most of that was because of how good Jimmy was as a guide! I couldn’t recommend the trail more to other people, and they’d be lucky to have Jimmy as their guide.

The 5-day hike to Machu Picchu was challenging but feasible. Our guide Rene did his best to create a great experience for us. The food was always sufficient and tasted good. It was especially pleasant that Manuel transported our luggage on horses, so we didn't have to carry much around with us during the day. Especially the party and accommodation on the third day we liked very much. Even if the return transport was very slow, the experience was consistently positive.

I really enjoyed the trip! Nature wise it’s a stunning hike through mountains, high altitude, jungle, and more. Amoroso and Jose were great guides and put a lot of effort in letting us have a great time. I also really enjoyed the variety of food the cooks prepared.

I came across Machu Picchu Team during their ownership transition. After some initial issues, we finally managed to get in touch and confirm the 4-day Salkantay trek.

Lucky for me, because the trek itself was very well-organized. You can tell they come from an experienced organization with the right know-how and solid resources.

However, the guides were the biggest highlight. Owen is absolutely the best guide in the world; I don't know what more he could do to improve. He’s a leader, a motivator, tells great stories about the locations, culture, and local life, and is 110% committed. Elisban – more quiet, but helpful and caring – complemented the team perfectly.
Machu Picchu Team – I hope you’re paying these guys well, because they are worth every penny ;)

The trek itself took place in beautiful spots. The altitude is tough, but anyone with good fitness and a bit of determination will definitely manage.

Fantastic trip and experience, they did a great job making sure we had food, a place to sleep, and saw everything Peru had to offer. Our tour guide Owen did an amazing job teaching us about the history of the land, and showing us a great time.

Best trip I’ve ever been on. Owen was the best guide, very caring and down to earth. He made the group feel like a family. The atmosphere was amazing. The 5 day length was perfect. Food was great. Very happy with how the hike went. Best trip ever, highly recommend.

I had an absolutely great experience hiking with the Machu Pichu team. The hike itself was so beautiful and amazing along with the food and travel accommodations. The guide Owen was absolutely amazing and made the trip even more insightful with his knowledge of the history of the Incas’ and Machu Pichu
