The experience was great, the guides Yuri and Stik were incredible. I really could not have had better guides, very happy with them and with the company.

Lovely time with Yuri and Stik, very knowledgeable and always looked after us (we were slow at the back and took us on easier paths).
Food was good, beautiful views, lovely people.
Prepare as camping was cold, without hot water, and without signal for 2 nights.
Would recommend.

Stik and Yuri are legends. I definitely recommend this tour because they are very good people; both treated us with a lot of respect and gave us a lot of information.

I recommend trying to do Salkantay with both of them since they are geniuses.

The meals were excellent too, as were the accommodations.

We did a 3 day trek with Machu Picchu teams. It was amazing! Our guide Jose was so great! He was very kind friendly and knowledgeable and made our trip a fun and memorable experience! Everything was great and all the staff created a positive and welcoming atmosphere at their office! We had such a fun time and it’s all thanks to our guide Jose and the Machu Picchu team!!! They go above and beyond and we’re so helpful and answered all our questions. They had great prices and we were guided through our hike in a safe and fun way! We would recommend Machu Picchu teams to anyone coming to Peru! They will go above and beyond to make your trip with them postive! And I hope you get Jose as your guide! He made our experience and journey one we will always cherish

We did the 4 day and 3 night Salkantay Trek on the 27th of July, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. I couldn't recommend it enough, especially with Machu Picchu Teams.

Everything exceeded our expectations from the accommodation and food to the organisation and most importantly, the amazing staff. Our guide Max made the experience so special. He taught us so much about the Quechua way of life and Inca traditions at every stop along the trek, which gave us such a good appreciation for the places we were visiting. He was also so much fun to be around, always making us laugh and keeping everyone's spirits high, even during the toughest parts of the hike. His positivity, encouragement and knowledge really made the experience unforgettable.

A huge thank you as well to our chefs, especially Braulio, the head chef. We genuinely couldn't believe the quality of the food considering where we were. Every meal was so fresh and delicious and they had lots of vegetarian options too. We were given three generous meals a day which also included starters at lunch and dinner, plus snacks along the way. It was far beyond anything we expected on a trek.

What really sets this company apart is the people. Max wasn't just a guide he genuinely cared about everyone in the group and always made sure we were doing okay. He knew exactly when to encourage us on the harder climbs, when to make us laugh, and when to stop to tell us another story about the history and culture of the area. He gave us a group name and gathered us every morning to do a chant together to get us ready for the day. You can tell he loves what he does and his passion made the whole trek so much more meaningful.

The entire team was so kind and welcoming, and they made us feel looked after from start to finish. If you're thinking of doing the Salkantay Trek, I couldn't recommend Machu Picchu Teams more. It was an unforgettable experience, and we're so grateful to everyone who made it so special.

Our family (parents with three grown-up kids age 15-20 years) went on the Salkantay 5-day trek a few days ago. The trek was really, really, well organised: the information during the trek, the transportation of bags, the meals, and the accomodation. We really enjoyed those five days of the trek.
A big thank to the Machu Picchu Team and the staff for doing a super job.
In particular, we would like to emphasize our guide, Alexis, who did a splendid job. He made a big effort to ensure that everybody in the group was fine, and he was always ready for relevant information and historical facts. Thank you, Alexis.
Even though the primary target group for the trek might be young people in the age range of 20-40 years, the treks is still well suited for people outside this age group (e.g., families with teenagers) that like hiking. We felt that we belonged to the group.
We defentively will recommend both this trek and the company to others.
