From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right company. The entire experience with Machu Picchu Team exceeded every expectation we had, and it’s something our group will be talking about for years to come.

Raquel was the first person we met, and she immediately made us feel welcome. Taking on the Salkantay Trek can be quite daunting, especially if you’ve never done anything like it before, but Raquel completely put our minds at ease. She was incredibly warm, friendly, and approachable, and took the time to explain everything in detail. No question was too much trouble, and her guidance before we even started the trek gave us so much confidence. She set the tone perfectly for what turned out to be an unforgettable experience.

We were lucky enough to have Ronny as our guide, and I genuinely don’t think we could have asked for anyone better. Ronny wasn’t just a guide—he became a friend, a mentor, and at times even a father figure to everyone in the group. He had the perfect balance of professionalism, humour, and genuine care for every single person. His knowledge of the history, culture, wildlife, and the Inca civilisation was fascinating, and every stop along the trek became an opportunity to learn something new. He always made sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and enjoying themselves, regardless of their pace or ability. You could tell he truly loves what he does, and that passion made the entire journey even more special.

A huge mention also has to go to Stick. From the very first day, his energy, enthusiasm, and positivity were infectious. He led with so much pride and always had a smile on his face, no matter how long or challenging the day had been. His encouragement kept everyone’s spirits high, especially during the tougher sections of the trek, and he made sure every member of the group felt supported. Together, Ronny and Stick made an incredible team, and I genuinely believe they were a huge reason why our trip was as amazing as it was. If you’re booking with Machu Picchu Team, I would strongly recommend requesting Ronny and Stick—you won’t find a better pair.

The chefs and horsemen also deserve enormous credit. It’s hard to believe the quality of food they were able to prepare in the middle of the mountains. Every meal was fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious, with generous portions that kept us fuelled for each day’s hike. The chefs consistently went above and beyond, and their attention to detail was remarkable. The horsemen worked tirelessly behind the scenes, always greeting us with smiles and ensuring our bags and equipment were exactly where they needed to be. They are the unsung heroes of the trek and deserve immense recognition for everything they do.

The accommodation throughout the trek was far beyond anything we expected. Every campsite and lodge was clean, comfortable, and well organised, making it easy to relax and recover after a long day’s hiking. It was clear that Machu Picchu Team goes the extra mile to provide a level of comfort that really sets them apart from other companies.

What impressed me most about Machu Picchu Team was how organised the entire operation was. Every detail had clearly been planned in advance, allowing us to simply enjoy the journey without worrying about logistics. The professionalism, communication, and genuine care shown by every member of the team were exceptional.

Reaching Machu Picchu was obviously the highlight of the trip, but it was the people who made the experience truly unforgettable. The friendships we built, the stories we heard, the laughs we shared, and the support we received from the entire Machu Picchu Team made this so much more than just a hike.

We had a fantastic experience with Genrri as our guide and Ricardo as our chef. All the food was amazing, both vegetarian and meat options, and the porters were very very amazing as well!

My Machu Picchu experience was amazing, I did the salkantay trek with Ronny and Stik, and they were incredible. The experience was enhanced even further with the reception help of Raquel, Joseu, and juanquita piticlean, such nice people and extremely helpful.

My family and I just completed the 4-Day Inca Jungle Trail to Machu Picchu with Machu Picchu Team, and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. This was our first trip to Peru, and from the moment we left Cusco until we stood at the top of Machu Picchu on the fourth day, everything exceeded our expectations.

Our group consisted of me, my wife (who was celebrating her 50th birthday), our 19-year-old daughter, and our 17-year-old son. The tour offered the perfect combination of adventure, physical challenge, incredible scenery, and Peruvian history and culture.

The hike itself was physically demanding, but every step was worth it. Along the way we enjoyed an amazing variety of activities, including white-water rafting, an exhilarating mountain bike ride down the Andes, and zip-lining across a spectacular gorge. Each activity was well organized, professionally run, and made us feel completely safe.

What truly made this trip exceptional was our guide, Aurelio Sanchez. Aurelio was knowledgeable, passionate, patient, and incredibly attentive throughout the entire journey. He shared fascinating information about the history, culture, plants, wildlife, and the Inca civilization, making every part of the trek more meaningful. He constantly encouraged our group and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience.

The highlight, of course, was reaching Machu Picchu. Hiking up on the final morning and seeing this incredible wonder for the first time is something our family will never forget. Aurelio then gave us a fantastic guided tour that helped us appreciate the site's rich history and significance.

To make the trip even more memorable, Aurelio surprised my wife with a small birthday cake complete with candles at the top of Machu Picchu to celebrate her 50th birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to our family and perfectly reflected the level of care and hospitality we experienced throughout the tour.

If you're considering visiting Machu Picchu and want an adventure that combines hiking, biking, rafting, zip-lining, breathtaking scenery, and an unforgettable cultural experience, I cannot recommend the Machu Picchu Team and Aurelio Sanchez highly enough. They created memories that our family will cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you for an incredible adventure!

We hiked 5 days with Amoroso and it was absolutely wonderful. Amoroso was personable, lively, caring, and full of knowledge. I very much appreciated his daily check ins confirming my abilities to continue on. His humor was contagious and we enjoyed every minute with him. The coordination of the trip is quite impressive as well. We absentmindedly forgot our bags on the last day and the office coordinated for them to get back to Cusco and be shipped to us. 10/10 for Machu Picchu Team.
