Had an amazing time on the Salkantay trek ( 5 days 4 nights)

The accommodation was fantastic, the food cooked each day by the chefs was always prepared for the perfect time with various different options at every meal.

The head guide Marco Antonio was truly sensational, he had an answer or solution for every question/ problem we had, was extremely knowledgeable about every area we visited, from knowing facts about each animal we saw to the history of each place. Alongside being so knowledgeable, he managed to create an extremely positive atmosphere the entire time, even on the days which were physically demanding with miserable weather his personality and genuine love for the areas we visited made it impossible not to smile and enjoy ourselves.

Would also like to give a special mention to our second tour guide Franco who also contributed massively to this experience. It felt like we had two head tour guides as he was also very knowledgeable about the area and ensured that we had everything we needed. Must also say that both tour guides spoke a very high level of English and would recommend them to anyone that wishes to do this trek.

I did the Llactapata-tour together with a friend. Our tourguide José was very nice and explained us everything we wanted to know. Very good vibes.
The locations, where we stayed, the stop at the ziplinestation and the coffeefarm were amazing. Very well organized. Thank you for this experience.

Had an amazing time doing the Salkantay Trek! Marco Antonio was truly the best guide you could wish for. The stories and knowledge he shared were both informative and inspiring, made more meaningful by the passion and personality he brought to every moment. He had a gift for creating a positive atmosphere and making everyone in the group feel seen and included.

I want to give special credits to Franco as well, for bringing laughter to everyone and to the cooks for the incredible food, which was always made with lots of love and attention. Thank you for everything!

We did the Salkantay 4D/3N Trip and it was a blast. The trek is amazing, a bit though but all worth it.
We traveled in a total group of 10 and had tons of fun together.
The food that had been served was amazing and the campsites were also really good.
Our Guide Carlos add so much fun to the experience and we always felt being taken care of.
10/10 would recommend

Amazing trek with an amazing guide. In adition to being an experience of a lifetime, I would say this is the best way to experience peruvian cuisine. Kudos to the chef!

We had the best experience on the Salkantay trek with our guide Aurelio. Everything was seamlessly organised. Accomodation was impressive for the price. Each day the chefs blew us away with delicious meals. Highly recommend!

Do not book with the supposed agency Machupicchu Team 🚫🚫🚫They are scammers and liars. My dream trip with my friends was ruined, before traveling, Lisbeth (Machupicchu Reservations) and David (Machupicchu Team) were emailing us saying everything was operating normally. However, when we arrived in Cusco and went to their offices, they gave us no clear answers and kept blaming each other, which created even more confusion and uncertainty. We decided not to continue with them, even though some of my friends had already received tickets with partial refunds, which made the situation even more concerning. In the end, we booked with another agency at the same price, where everything was clear and professional from the beginning.
During the trip, we also met a guide who had previously worked with these companies. He told us that the manager of Machupicchu Team, David, has been promising payments to workers such as guides, muleteers, cooks, and porters. This situation shows a complete lack of responsibility and professionalism. They should fulfill their commitments, both to their clients and to the workers who gave their effort to the company. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend being very careful, verifying everything before booking, and choosing agencies that are truly and transparent

Super expérience avec Machu Picchu Team. Organisation fluide, bons repas et bonne ambiance tout au long du trek. Les guides étaient pros et sympas, et les paysages du Salkantay valent vraiment le coup malgré la pluie hihi. Je recommande sans hésiter!

De 4N5D Salkantay trek was top!! Onze guides Genri en Julio waren super aardig, grappig en professioneel. Ik raad het enorm aan om de vijfdaagse trek te doen, omdat je dan de kans hebt om naar de hotsprings te gaan en daarna een leuk feestje bij te wonen. Dit was super gezellig met zowel de guides als de andere groepen die de trek deden. Ik raad het enorm aan!
