What a memorable experience! A special thank you to Edgar and Victor for being consistently positive, informative and approachable. Thank you to our chef, we were spoiled with the variety of delicious food. Thank you to the man who transported our duffle bags on his horses. Despite the challenge of the trek, the morale was high and our individual needs were met. Strongly recommend The Machu Picchu Team!!

Max was knowledgeable and patient through the entire trip. He would make an effort to stop and provide historical information which was such an amazing addition. Max reminded me that this is a vacation and I’m meant to enjoy it which was definitely needed on the more tough days of the hike.

No words can describe how amazing of a chef Wilfredo is. He went above and beyond, especially with the vegetarian meals. Every dish felt thoughtful and full of flavor, and they catered perfectly to fuel our bodies for the hike.
They truly elevated the trip into something special.

I booked the 5D4N Salkantay trek with Machu Picchu Team, and it was a great experience. The price was reasonable, and the organization was excellent. Alexis, our guide, along with Elisban and their team (horseman & cooks), truly made the trip successful.

The logistics were efficient, the food was good and plentiful, although a bit light in the mornings. That said, there are plenty of places along the way to buy snacks and water. Each day, we received a clear briefing about the plan for the following day. The accommodations were also very nice, with large glass windows to enjoy the views.

The guides went above and beyond to share information and stories about Inca and Peruvian culture during the breaks, which was really appreciated, as it made the trek more than just hiking.

I 100% recommend booking with this company !

Nothing short of amazing, DO IT!!! We had such an incredible experience doing the 4-day Salkantay trek with Machu Picchu Team and our guide, Owen. We saw endless gorgeous views, were immersed in the culture, did a huge range of activities, and overall had so much fun :)

Our team tour guide Owen gave us an excellent tour experience, and we had best Salkantay trek experience in the last 4 days. I would recommend Owen to everyone who interested in hiking to Machu Picchu, it will be the best once in a lifetime experience!!!

I had a great time on 4 day salkantay trek with owen! we saw a lot of animals like chinchillas, condor, and cows. i loved learning about the history of incas and the culture. i highly recommend this trek to anyone who is looking for a challenge with amazing views.

I did the salkantay trek with Owen, and he had very good and positive energy the whole time! he shared some stories and at the salkantay pass we did an offering to pachamama which was very nice:)

We had a GREAT 4-day Salkantay trek with Owen in April... perfect weather, delicious food and so much fun!! Learning about the Inca culture was very special and although our legs are tired from hiking, we couldn't have had a better experience!!!
