We had the most amazing experience on the 4D/3N trek.
Abel led the group through the treks, adding in some culture and a lot of fun at every spot. He is an experienced guide and made sure the whole group was happy with their experience, often reminding us that it is a holiday at the end of the day!
The food was great and the second guide Franco kept everything in order.

The Salkantay Trek was without a doubt one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every challenge along the way was worth it for the incredible views, sense of achievement, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to our amazing guides, Abel and Franco, who made the entire experience so enjoyable. Their knowledge and encouragement, were outstanding, and they kept everything running smoothly from start to finish. No matter how tough the trek got, they were always there to motivate us and share fascinating insights about the area and its history.

The whole trip was exceptionally well organised, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the Capybaras team. If you’re considering the Salkantay Trek, I highly recommend it—it’s challenging, but the reward at the end is beyond worth it!

Our experience doing the salkantay trek with Machu Picchu teams was incredible! Alexis our guide was the most knowledgeable, hospitable, friendly, and enjoyable tour guide! We also gained another great guide Jet Lee on day 2, also an amazing addition!
The food throughout was well above expectations, fresh, healthy and delicious - not to mention all of the comforting warm teas made with local ingredients. From start to finish we loved all of this tour, options to make it comfortable for every level along the way - can’t recommend enough. Thank you so much Alexis, jet lee and Machu Picchu team!!

Our tour guide Erwin was perfect! We did the 3 day Salkantay trek. He was on top of things and very insightful. The hike was definitely hard, but so worth it. It really is best for experienced hikers and we were on our own for the trip but saw those who were on different schedules.

Our family of 5 (including adult and teenage boys) had a fantastic experience on the Salkantay 3 day tour. Our tour guide Erwin was very knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the trip. He helped us with key decisions, and was always a pleasure to be with. It was extremely helpful that he provided alternatives along the way to ensure and maximize not only our experience, but our comfort. We had a great time- highly recommended!

Adsolutety an invredible experience. Our guide max was amazing, he knew so much history about cusco and Machu Picchu. He took such good care of us on our Salkantay 4 day trek, the food was so good. I would recommend Machu Picchu Team if you want an amazing trip to the most beautiful place.

Fue una experiencia para recordar!!! Gracias a Nachito/Alexis para lo mejor tour. The accommodations were simple yet impressive and the knowledge of the tour guides was incomparable. I would highly recommend Machu Picchu Teams. My guide went out of his way to take care of everyone, even those outside of the group and company. Kindness to the core :)

We had the best time on the 5 day Salkantay trek with Alexis (Nachito)! Everything was amazing and so well planned. Alexis was so knowledgable and considerate to everyone’s needs within our group whilst making sure we all had loads of fun. Had an incredible 5 days on the Salkantay Trek, despite being very sick. Nachito helped to look after me and nurse me back to full health with good vibes and numerous cups of Andean teas. He was a very knowledgeable guide, and great craic as well. He kept the vibes high the whole time. Food, campsite and logistics were all excellent from the company Machu Picchu team.
