We had the absolute best experience imaginable. Our guide, Omar, could not have been better. He was informative, patient, knowledgeable and made sure we were aware of each day’s itinerary. The 4 day Salkantay trek was challenging but incredibly rewarding. Our chef, Jesus, fed us the most delicious meals and took into account the various dietary restrictions of our group. This was a trip of a lifetime that I would highly recommend. If possible, request Omar as your guide to ensure an amazing experience!!

I did the 4 day Salkantay Trek with Omar as my guide and Jesús as my chef, and I can confidently say it was the best trip of my life. Omar was such a kind, welcoming, encouraging, funny guide, and he honestly made the trip 5x better. He explained each step of the adventure so thoughtfully, stayed behind with the stragglers during the hike, and even busted out his flute at the scenic stops. Jesús cooked some amazing food - I have no idea how he was able to cook such tasty meals in the middle of the mountains. This hike was definitely one of the hardest trips I’ve taken, but the views were incredible. Literally every step I took blew my mind. I couldn’t believe my eyes the entire time, not to mention the raw joy when we reached Machu Picchu. I would highly highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to explore Peru and Machu Picchu, as long as you’re alright with some hard work and some early mornings. Ask for Omar if you can - I can’t emphasize how special he made the trip. My mother cried when she had to say bye to him. 10/10

Our 2-day Inca Trail experience was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Machu Picchu was breathtaking, and our guide Genrri was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole journey unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Peru.

We did the 5-day Salkantay Trek with Max and Gabriel. The trek itself was amazing, although at times harder than expected. The guides were honest about the level of difficulty during the trek, and made sure that everyone knew there were alternatives available when it may be needed (e.g. horses). The guides were very passionate about the history and culture of the country and the significance of our surroundings during the trip, which made the beautiful scenery feel even richer. Size and atmosphere of the groups was really nice, and all of the guides kept us informed, motivated and on track, while also giving plenty of space to enjoy the trek and free time to relax. There were a few surprises, as there were some requirements, fees, inflexibilities, etc that weren't communicated in advance and caused unnecessary stress at times. The biggest one being that you are expected to leave luggage in Cusco, and pack all equipment for the trek into a small-medium sized "Machu Picchu Team" duffel bag, and on the final day, all duffel bags are left at a cafe and you have to carry everything you will need for just the last night with you separately to Aguas Calientes and Machu Pichu (this created problems for people without tickets to MP and unsure how long they would stay there for). Also you will need to return to cusco after the trek to drop off their duffel bags and pickup your luggage. A few of us had planned to finish the trek without returning to Cusco and so this made plans very tricky, without any time to replan. Aside from those hiccups, we had a great experience and Max/Gabriel made it feel really special!

I did the Humantay Lake tour, and it was an incredible experience. The landscapes were beautiful, and the weather was phenomenal, which made the trip even better. Our guide was excellent very knowledgeable and very kind, always attentive to anyone who needed help. The food was also excellent: very tasty and varied. I truly had a great time, and I highly recommend Machu Picchu Team.

We did the jungle trek 4D/3N with Aurelio. It was really a top experience! The jungle trek is super varied, mountain biking, rafting, hiking, zip lining. The accommodations lived up to expectations and Aurelio has tried very hard to offer us an unforgettable tour. Because there were only two of us, we were able to pass on our wishes and he responded perfectly. He also made sure that we got the best tickets for Machu Pichu. He has a lot of knowledge about the history of the Incas.

We enjoyed the tour! Our guide Aurelio was fantastic and listened carefully to our wishes. He perfectly adapted the tour to our preferences, which made for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this tour to everyone!
